Back in my days, the public school system was a joke, if you weren't in high honors, you would get no help, you was left behind and get mixed up in the wrong crowd and then forget about college, your stuck in the hood, you are a nobody! Until Mama T finds out and your ass better watch out. She was no joke. She helped so many kids like myself get through the system. Taught us that life ain't all peaches and cream and we still have to move forward. She gave us a safe heaven after school with many activities like tutoring, basketball and soccer games. One of the most influential woman in my life!
May I continue to honor your life's work through my life and continue to make you proud!

Hi Tanya, it's been 3 years since our last face to face interaction. I have to say that I can still remember it like it was yesterday. It is still hard to believe the reality of death for me. I actually thought to myself earlier today, if I live long enough, I'll be able to say my eldest sister/sibling past away 40 years ago. I can't imagine this level of sadness subsiding. It's really scary to be honest, the thought that the pain doesn't deplete, it just grows customary. I don't mean this message to sound sad, I'm really grateful for the time I got to share with you. I really love you, and I'm honestly not sure if anyone in this world has loved me more than you and Paula. I really appreciate you two sisters. I love you and I truly hope I'm making you proud. I'm sure your happy to see that I will be graduating with my Business degree this May. Love you Tanya, rest in peace and know that I will never forget you. I don't recall one single day since you've left, where I don't think about you...

I keep recounting with my fingers to be certain, that it has been 3 years that we have lost our beloved tanya, our daughter, our sister, our mentor, our coach, our best friend.

I can write for hours the many wonders this amazing woman was to all of us and still is spiritually to us. A woman so strong and dedicated to live her life fearlessly with no limits.

Let us all come together tonight, light a candle in memory of our tanya. Let us rejoice the life of this beautiful woman, who has inspired all of us to live our life to the fullest. God Bless :)

Tomorrow August 20, 2012 our Tanya was born into this world, as she may no longer be with us physically she is ALWAYS in our HEARTS! Lets stand together as friends and family and say thank you to everyone whom is in your life. Give them LOVE! Smile! Big Hugs! EVERYDAY!... I would like to share a poem that Tanya shared with me at one point in my life when she was teaching me and ALL OF US at one point how to VALUE life without being able to touch or see the most precious things we treasure the most.
