We're excited to announce that we brought a graphic designer onto the team recently! Over the past few weeks, we've been expanding our group of ambitious young talent, in the hopes of providing more services that businesses need.

The first work of our new designer, Amber Mascia, was to create a logo for The Tailored Male Barbershop. We showed it to the owner, Al, on Monday and he loved it- we hope you feel the same!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of connecting with Susan Rodgers, the owner of a jewelry store in Port Jefferson. We got to see her collections of beautiful handmade jewelry and understand what makes her so popular- and we had the opportunity to work with her in strengthening her online presence.

We started off with social media marketing, done by Peter Tsemberides, and some website optimizations and changes (done by Matthew Incardona). We're continuing this week, with a bit of SEO work by Marcel Chen and the continuation of Peter's social media efforts. Susan has been a wonderful person to work with, and we look forward to seeing her more in the future!

Free Tools Tuesday - Canva Color Palette Generator

On our travels through the web, we've come across a lot of free software that made us think, “Wow, people should really know about this.” So in an attempt to make our world a little more affordable, we're starting a weekly blog that shows off some of the great free tools and software the internet has to offer.

We're starting off simple this week with Canva’s in-browser color palette generator:

Choosing a color palette can be difficult. There are so many colors to choose from, and what does “complementary” mean, and how many colors should I use and- let’s make things a bit easier. Pick your favorite image or logo, upload it to Canva’s Color Palette Generator, and have your unique color palette in seconds.

Tips for use: Try to use images with several distinct colors. You want your palette to have some variety.

Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of working with Ed Fitzmaurice on his website for Tri State Design Solutions, Inc.
