Heads up peeps! There is an email going around that claims to be from Microsoft saying that your system needs to be updated. THIS IS A SCAM! Microsoft will NEVER send you an email about updates.

Praying that everyone has a very happy Resurrection Sunday. Suggestion: Now that everyone is getting either their tax refund or stimulus, please do not waste it on buying a computer that you will regret because it is underpowered. The HP Stream computers to put it bluntly are junk. Minimum specs: 8 GB of RAM, at least a Intel Core i5 or better processor, 250 GB or better hard drive, preferably solid state. I can advise you for free if you contact me.

Beware the fake "update your browser pop up." Most of the time you will see this using Internet Explorer. It is not legitimately from Microsoft. It is a "browser hijack" - malware. What to do if you see this pop up on your screen? DON'T click anywhere on the popup - even to "x" out. Do this: press the Ctrl, Alt, and the Delete keys all at the same time. Your screen will turn blue (don't panic) and you will get a menu. Click "Task Manager." A small window will open up. Click once on your browser (Internet Explorer, etc.) and then click "End Task." Your browser will close safely and you then can go back to what you were doing.

There are still plenty of scams out there both on the Internet and on your phone. Remember if you run into scam wear on the Internet, don't panic. Don't click on anything on your screen! Press the CTRL, Alt, and Delete keys all at the same time. Your screen will turn blue and you will see a list of options. Click on "Task Manger." A small box will open and you will see the name of the browser you are using: for example Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc. Highlight the browser name by left clicking once. Then at the bottom of the box click on "End task." This will safely close the browser and take you back to your desktop. Never give ANY information over the phone to ANYONE claiming to be from the I.R.S, Social Security, etc. They already know your social security number.

Yahoo mail users heads up! A fake email stating to be from Yahoo is making the rounds. It states: "The closure of your account has been processed." The email wants you to click on the attachment to update your account. Don't do it! This will install a virus on your computer! Mark the email as spam and delete.
