Today we’re celebrating Sophia de Lima! Sophia was one of our very first Cre8sian Project scholarship recipients in 2020, and just graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts with a concentration of Stage and Screen Acting (SSA) and a minor in Film from the UNLV School of Cinematic Arts! During her time at UNLV, she has volunteered and presented an award for the Nevada Women’s Film Festival and has been in several Nevada Conservatory Theatre (NCT) productions and award-winning student films as an actor, director, producer, and crew member! She plans to put her short film, “What’s There to Celebrate?” (2026), through the festival circuit this upcoming year and hopes to pursuit a career as both an actor and a filmmaker.

Help us congratulate this Amazing Asian on her incredible achievement as we wish her luck on the next part of her journey! 🥳🥳👏🏻

Congratulations to Aerith Hamper, one of our scholarship winners!!

This week’s Amazing Asian in the Arts is Rebecca Ho! Rebecca is a performer and voice actor based in NYC. She fell in love with the stage at the age of 3 as a competitive dancer, and later changed gears and pursued her Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics in college. But her love for performing never left her, pushing her to attend acting school and move to New York. She’s gone on to make her off-Broadway debut in “Dilaria,” and appeared in “The Importance of Being Ernest” at a summer stock theatre in Maine. You’ll also hear her in the audiobook for “Good People” by Patmeena Sabit – one of the New Yorker’s Best Books of 2026! Her advice to young artists? “There is no set road map on how to do this thing.” Read on to learn more about Rebecca Ho and what makes her an Amazing Asian in the Arts!
