A Story We Will Never Forget ❤️
Some moments stay with you forever. They remind you why you started your business, why you work long hours, and why what you do actually matters. This is one of those moments for us.
Back in 2021, during her final year at USF, a young student walked into our shop. She was clearly under a lot of stress. Her laptop was not just a device — it was her lifeline. Her classes, projects, deadlines, and future all depended on it. On top of that, her visa status made everything feel urgent and overwhelming.
When we explained the cost of the repair, she broke down in tears.
She simply didn’t have the money. She told us how important this computer was, how close she was to graduating, and how afraid she was of losing everything she had worked so hard for. In that moment, there was no question for us.
We didn’t hesitate.
We told her we would repair her laptop for free.
She was incredibly emotional and kept saying she would come back one day and pay us, no matter what. She left our shop with her laptop repaired, hope restored, and her future back on track. Life moved on, and over time, we honestly forgot about that day.
Until this past Friday.
A woman walked into our shop — this time with her husband by her side. At first, no one recognized her. Then she began telling her story, and suddenly everything came back to us. Five years later, she had returned to the United States for a short vacation and drove all the way from Miami to Tampa just to find us.
She shared something that deeply moved us. Today, she is an industrial engineer working in Germany. She told us that having her laptop repaired during that critical moment helped her finish school, graduate, and move forward with her life. Her husband stood next to her, quietly listening, supporting her, and sharing that moment with her.
She came for one reason only — to pay for the repair we had done years ago.
We sat down together, shared a coffee, and talked about life. Of course, we didn’t accept her money. She insisted, but we told them something we truly believe:
The world stands because of good people.
Thank you, Loren, for coming back and reminding us why kindness matters.
Moments like this mean more to us than any repair we could ever do.
