Peter Thiel, the former CEO of PayPal just signed a record-breaking Miami lease and many believe other tech billionaires of Silicon Valley will be right behind him đź‘€

Billionaire Peter Thiel has planted a flag in Miami’s Brickell financial district, signing a historic office lease at a reported $250 per square foot shattering the neighborhood’s old pre-pandemic rates of $40 to $60.

Industry insiders say the deal marks a turning point: what started as tech founders quietly buying Florida beachfront homes has become a full corporate migration.

Miami’s 55-story 830 Brickell tower already houses Citadel, Microsoft and Thoma Bravo, and will soon welcome Thiel’s office.

Experts point to Florida’s lack of a state income tax and rising quality of life as major draws, especially as California weighs a new billionaire wealth tax. Tech employment across Miami-Dade has jumped roughly 25% in recent years, making it one of the fastest-growing tech job markets in the country.

Dr. James Gates is a physicist who studies the hidden rules of the universe. He uses advanced maths to explore supersymmetry, the idea that every tiny particle might have a secret twin.

In 1984, he co-wrote a famous book called Superspace, which gave scientists a new way to think about these ideas using shapes and geometry.

He is also a central figure in the development of "adinkras," which are diagrams that look like network maps; they show how particles connect to each other. These diagrams even link to how computers correct errors and how puzzles are solved.

His work helps us understand the deep patterns that hold the universe together.

His adinkras are not abstract curiosities; they are visual proof that nature's smallest building blocks follow rules we can draw, count, and even code into machines.

He reveals a universe that is less a collection of random events and more a vast, interconnected pattern. — Africa Giant

The AI boom just hit a physical wall. 🔌💥

While the world focuses on high-tech GPUs and trillion-dollar valuations, the actual "bricks and mortar" of AI is stalling. New reports show that 50% of all planned U.S. data center builds for 2026 are now delayed or canceled.

The industry is learning a hard lesson: you can’t run the future of intelligence without a steady supply of "boring" electrical parts. Shortages of transformers, switchgear, and batteries—many still sourced from China—are creating multi-year backlogs that capital alone can’t fix.

Beyond the supply chain, the U.S. power grid is reaching its limit. With 12-16 gigawatts of capacity needed, developers are clashing with local communities and utility providers who aren't ready for the massive surge in electricity demand.

The $650 billion being poured into AI infrastructure by hyperscalers is facing a reality check. The bottleneck isn't the code; it’s the power.

A data center campus in north-central Georgia consumed more than 29 million gallons of water without the local utility company initially realizing it, triggering low-pressure water flow to its host community, Politico reported Saturday.

The 615-acre Fayetteville-based data center campus, codenamed “Project Excalibur,” was found to have one water connection installed without the knowledge of the Fayette County water system, and another that was not linked to its developer’s account and therefore was not being billed, according to the outlet.

Donald Trump arrived in Beijing with a delegation of 17 American CEOs, including Elon Musk, Tim Cook, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, for a trade summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Huang was not on the original roster but was personally invited by Trump via phone call.

The summit agenda covers artificial intelligence, semiconductor export controls, tariff reductions, commercial procurement, and geopolitical issues including Iran and Taiwan. The delegation represents sectors spanning Big Tech, Wall Street, aerospace, and logistics. Among the key business discussions, Boeing is working to close a multi-billion dollar aircraft deal aimed at countering Beijing’s retaliatory import taxes, while Nvidia is pressing the administration to loosen AI hardware export restrictions, warning that the current limits could drive China to fast-track its own domestic AI development.

Canvas just got hit in a massive cyberattack reportedly tied to ShinyHunters.

Early reports claim up to 9,000 colleges and universities may have been affected worldwide during FINALS WEEK.

Potential exposed data includes:
• names
• emails
• student IDs
• enrollments
• internal messages

This is bigger than “someone hacked a school.”

Modern civilization runs on interconnected digital systems. Education today. Healthcare, banking, logistics, or infrastructure tomorrow.

The real danger now:
• phishing attacks
• impersonation
• AI-generated scams
• social engineering at scale

AI has changed cyber warfare forever.

No alarms.
No explosions.
Just invisible breaches beneath everyday life.

Data is no longer a byproduct.

Data IS civilization.

A Miami-based lifestyle influencer was found dead in Tanzania during a trip with her fiancé, and her family says an investigation is underway.

Ashlee Jenae, 31, traveled to Zanzibar with her fiancé, Joe McCann, founder of cryptocurrency firm Asymmetric Financial, to celebrate her birthday. On April 5, McCann proposed. She posted photos, beaming and newly engaged. Seven days later, she was dead.

Her family said "Ashly was found unconscious in her villa" and was rushed to a hospital, where "her death was confirmed hours later." Earlier reports stated McCann told authorities Jenae died by hanging herself.

Friends say Jenae would never take her own life. McCann continued posting on social media without publicly mourning her, and old screenshots surfaced showing Jenae had previously received anonymous warnings to "be careful" about her relationship.

No official cause of death has been released.
