When I was a child, my late grandfather went to Front Street Snack Bar -New Beginnings and bought my first ever slugburger and vanilla moon pie to enjoy afterwards. It’s a sweet memory I hold of him to this day. Years later, my wife and I shared her first slugburger from Front Street Snack Bar while we sat at a picnic table in Jaybird Park. And soon enough, we’ll be able to let our son enjoy his first too!🤎

Next time you’re in downtown Iuka, swing by the snack bar and check out their menu! Two small slugs with onion rings is our go-to pick😋

We also wrote this small poem last year for a contest held by the Tishomingo Arts Council. It was a fun trip down memory lane!

Next time you’re driving down Main Street in Tishomingo, take a stop at Rainbow Dollar Store! It’s a not-so-hidden gem that has just about anything you could want. Great variety, cheap prices, and kind people are in abundance here. Stop by and see what all they have! 🌈💎💲

These graphics I put together may be a little "out there" for what local spots have in mind, but that's the point! Creating striking images for down to earth businesses can hopefully shed more light on our community staples and encourage others to give them a try. Sunflower Food Store is a local Tishomingo staple that has stood the test of time! It’s a place that has it all with great prices and the familiar faces of staff who have been there for years.

In my younger days, I enjoyed being greeted by friendly employees and the huge chicken quarter machine. What a treat to go back and see that it’s still there! As I grow older, I have a deeper respect for these local businesses. I want to see them stick around for my child to develop fond memories of as well. “Let the good times bloom.”🌻🤍

The support we show establishments like Sunflower is how we thrive as a community. I know this piece is a little more out there, but that’s the point! I want to make interesting graphics to bring more attention to our little town. I hope you enjoy this design and stick around for more locally themed graphics and reviews!📍👍🏼

The Cardinal Shack is a delicacy right here in the neighborhood! It’s a staple on hot days or when you just need a sweet treat to set you right. Our favorites are the banana pudding shake and the dinosaur snow cone, but you really can’t go wrong with any flavor😋

The Cardinal Shack is the local business that big chains wish they could be. It’s the right spot for a date, time spent with the family, or a perfect dessert choice to end the night!
