BC108C Tone Bender MKII circuit with Tonepad pcb. Just a prototype, circuit and name will be tweaked if I produce this.

A new build of a pedal probably cloned the same 1000+ times. I present to you the prototype for the BC108C tone bender MKII clone. I will come up with my own name and tweak the circuit if I go into production as I’m pretty sure Tone Bender MKII is a registered trade mark of sola sound®️/ macari’s®️ in London England.

I’m thinking about trying a small line of my fuzz and distortion pedal lines with original transistors in them under the acid test name where some of the proceeds will go to an autism charity and will include stickers and such. Options may include tone bender MKI MKII and a three k**b one with real OC75’s or OC81DM transistors or if you don’t wanna spend as much I can use any run of the
Mill germanium transistors. I can do silicon tone benders too with the cheap 2N2222 or even BC108C or BC109. I’ll do fuzz faces with NKT red dot 275 which will be very expensive or less expensive NKT278’s or AC128 or again cheap germaniums. I can also do silicon fuzz faces. I can build Klon Centaur clones too. I’ll have to price out some of the higher end transistors and calculate
Prices but if I only get a couple people interested in this I may not do it. Pedals will have boards secured unlike mine that I use and keep free for easy access. Can also do hardwired with turrets but beware it may be noisy even though There’s some ways against it like a capacitor to ground off the power supply. I can get non Newmarket brand 1960’s NKT275’s sets for fuzz faces for just under $100 and that’s just for two transistors and if you want real Newmarket ones I could be spending double that at least. The OC75’s are roughly $15 each plus shipping from the UK. Plus resistors capacitors etc which I already have most of and the enclosure cost depends if you want a regular pedal board friendly one or the big original enclosure reissues. This is just an idea like I said and there would be at least a couple week turnover depending on if you want high end transistors and if you want original other 1960’s components like resistors and capacitors. Boards will be from Tonepad or I can have original style ones made for me. Paint work will be decals and more professional than my model painted personal pedals.
