Run an honest operation that would make our Moms proud. Their passion for what they do motivated their clients to let them continue to push the technology envelope and test their talents. Happy clients turned into lots of referrals, which turned into a need for quality man (and woman) power. In 2003 DSI Entertainment Systems bought Wave Audio Video of Santa Monica. Shortly after that DSI acquired Dynamic Audio Designs of Encino, California. With hard work and a great team of people, DSI Entertainment Systems made an impression in Los Angeles and the United States. The invitations to participate in high-profile projects increased left and right. Magazines and TV networks called to feature our projects, and our work earned many prestigious awards. We made it into the Top 100 system integrators list in 2000 and by 2007 made it into the top 25 of all systems integration firms in the United States. In 2005, we expanded our business again by acquiring Ambrosia Audio Video, a Los Angeles based custom audio video integration firm that had been in business for over 15 years. As part of the acquisition, DSI Entertainment Systems acquired an "experience center" showroom on Robertson Boulevard in the Design District of West Hollywood. The showroom affords our clients and industry partners an opportunity to experience audio-video, home theater, lighting control, and home automation - control systems in a luxury home environment before it is specified into their home or office. As more and more of our client's asked us to take care of their Santa Barbara homes, it became clear that we needed a small base of operations in the Santa Barbara - Montecito area. In 2006, we opened a branch office on Coast Village Road in Montecito. We were greeted with open arms by the architectural and design community and have completed some spectacular entertainment and home automation control systems in even more spectacular residences in this amazing upscale market in California. In 2008, DSI Entertainment Systems became the largest custom audio video integration firm in Southern California. With a staff of over 55 which includes a dedicated staff for engineering, project management, programming, installation, computer-IT services, a motorized shade / drapery division, and 24/7 customer service, DSI has established itself as THE leader in the marketplace. To take advantage of the skills of the DSI team, in 2009 we decided to expand into the commercial market place under our sister brand, DSI AV. The development of a commercial audio video division dedicated to providing DSI technology to corporate environments has brought the Company to the forefront in the commercial arena. For more than a decade, DSI has had the opportunity to collaborate with a wide variety of companies in delivering state-of-the-art digital boardrooms, control systems, training facilities, and distributed audio and video systems. These companies include Wells Fargo Bank, GE Capital Funding, Walt Disney, Time Warner Corporate Headquarters, Honeywell, Honda Motor Company, the United States Bankruptcy Court and Castlerock Entertainment. In 2011, DSI is excited to announce expansion into Orange County by opening a location in Newport Beach. We've come a long way from the Cheesecake Factory napkin business plan.
