KID LIT POSTCARD DAY! ✨

Hello I’m Aimee Stevens, children’s book author & illustrator based in Oxford, UK. I’ve been drawing, writing and making pictures for as long as I can remember.

I’m now looking for representation and would love to find an agent to work with to make even more picture book illustrations! I work in traditional media making paper cut collage and I also digitally draw in Procreate. I love hand lettering too!

day 7. One day late. Oops! Breakfast at Judy’s 🍳

Today’s learnings: drawing yoghurt is hard. White posca is too pale to show up. I continue to love drawing patterns.

day 6. Los Alamitos Summer Concert in the park 🎶

A tricky one tonight. I chose 2 pinks to draw with and they were too similar. Also a busy scene to draw. But here it is!

💃There was dancing after drawing, the band were brilliant & we were with our good friends Tom Jordan & Elizabeth Jordan. The best evening✨

-green highlighter 💚I nicked this pen from my daughter’s pencil case. She said she didn’t know where it came from-miracles do happen.

I had the absolute pleasure of live sketching whilst listening to inspiring authors talk about their writing & experiences. A great day in a sweaty tent.

also a thank you note to your generous advice about my sketchbook/painting/process was invaluable. You are a brilliant teacher.
