The protocol that changes e-comm

Google, Shopify, Etsy, Walmart, Target just launched Universal Commerce Protocol.

What it means: AI agents (ChatGPT, Claude) can now search across ALL platforms, compare products, and complete purchases.

The problem: AI agents can't see images. They read JSON, product URLs, text fields.

Hot take: "we added an accessibility overlay" is no longer a legal defense.

The Domino's case made it pretty clear that overlays don't satisfy ADA requirements. Courts want structural fixes (like, in the actual code).
