Possibly the 𝓼𝔀𝓮𝓮𝓽𝓮𝓼𝓽 branding shoot I’ve done. 🍦🚲

Meet The Frosty Pedal— a mobile dessert company bringing handcrafted ice cream treats to weddings, parties, corporate functions, community events, and just about any celebration you can think of — all from a vintage-inspired ice cream bike.

The owner, Denise, handcrafts each of her ice cream creations, making the experience feel just as special as the treats themselves. 🍨

The goal of the photoshoot: capture imagery that feels just like The Frosty Pedal — nostalgic, welcoming, playful, and made for a perfect New England summer day.

I (Kate) had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Horn Pond Fish Passage in Woburn — a project that will improve access to spawning habitat for river herring while creating opportunities for the community to experience & learn about the ecosystem right here at Horn Pond. 🌿🐟

Ivy Creations was selected and contracted by the Mystic River Watershed Association and the City of Woburn to design the educational signage that will be installed as part of the project. Getting to stand at the site, hear from project partners and Mayor Concannon, and see construction officially underway made this project feel very real.

The completed fish passage will include viewing areas, an underwater viewing window, and interpretive signage (designed by Ivy) that will help visitors better understand the fish migration, local ecology, and the importance of protecting this watershed.

Projects like this are exactly why I started Ivy Creations. My goal has always been to use my thoughtful design and communication skills to support environmental causes.

I can’t wait to see the finished project — and our signs — become part of Horn Pond. 💚

Yes..... I (Kate) turned my cats into watercolor illustrations for my wedding website. 😸

Meet Tilly and Stanley.... the unofficial VIPs of my wedding next year. 🧡

When designing my wedding website, I knew I wanted it to feel personal to my fiancee and me. So instead of relying on stock imagery and templates, I turned photos of our two orange cats into custom watercolor illustrations using Photoshop and other graphic design programs.

Throughout the website, these illustrations appear in different ways. Some are simple watercolor accents, while others are subtly animated GIFs that bring the pages to life. (The sticker-style versions you're seeing here were something I created after as a fun way to showcase the artwork!)

Often, it's the thoughtful and custom details that transform a website from something generic into something memorable.

Client emails like this never get old. 👍

Behind every logo is a person, a story, and countless small decisions that help transform an idea into something meaningful.

For this project, the goal wasn’t to totally reinvent Katie’s logo, it was to preserve what she loved about it while elevating it and making it feel more authentically her. Safe to say we got there!
