Ensure the Riot Client is fully closed, including the icon in the system tray.
Open the Start Menu, type Run, and navigate to AppData > Local. Locate the Riot Games folder.
Go to your game drive (e.g., D:), create a folder named Local, and move the Riot Games folder into this new location.
Create a symbolic link from the new location back to AppData/Local. To do this, right-click and drag the moved folder to the destination, release, and select “Drop here → Symbolic Link.”
Mount your client image and repeat the same process for its Riot Games directory—delete the original folder inside the image and replace it with a symbolic link pointing to the correct drive.
Drive letters may differ depending on your server setup, so adjust paths accordingly.
This sequence prevents the Valorant client from repeatedly checking for updates.
