CARAA 2026 UPDATES | Redemption Complete: Ifugao Builders Rise as Champions 🏆

The Ifugao Builders Volleyball Secondary Boys capped off their campaign in style, winning the best-of-five championship series against the Benguet Stingers on February 27, 2026 at the Benguet Sports Complex.

After falling short in Game One, the Builders bounced back with two straight victories, showing composure, discipline, and determination when it mattered most. Their resilience paid off as they secured the title and officially concluded the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) on a championship note.

With this win, the team advances to the Palarong Pambansa, proudly representing Cordillera on the national stage.

Supported by OIC-SDS Virginia C. Amogan-Batan and other officials, students, teachers, and stakeholders, the atmosphere throughout the series was nothing short of electric.

A strong finish to CARAA — and the journey continues. 💚🏀

CARAA 2026 UPDATES | Ifugao Builders Volleyball Boys Secondary win in straight sets.🏐

A strong showing at the Benguet Sports Complex Gymnasium in La Trinidad resulted in a 2–0 victory over the Baguio E-Lions.

The first set was competitive, but Ifugao managed to pull away, 25–20. The second set was tighter, with both teams exchanging points until Ifugao closed it out, 25–23, to complete the straight-sets win.

The match was witnessed by Schools Division Superintendent Madam Virginia C. Amogan-Batan, who was present to support the team.

Player 1, Junel Gamis was named Player of the Game with 12 points, including 2 service aces, his second time earning the recognition.

Exuding grace, skill and talent are all that it takes to bring home 12 awards in the Dance Sports Competitions. Our juvenile and juniors gave their best as exhibited in their heart-stopping performance in the various dance categories.

CARAA 2026 UPDATES | Heart and Hustle on the Field 💪⚾

On Day Three of the competition, the Ifugao Elementary Baseball Boys faced Apayao in a hard-fought match.

Trailing 2–9 early in the game, Ifugao staged a strong comeback—motivated in part by the energy and cheers from the sideline supporters—and narrowed the gap, keeping the game within reach until the final inning.

Final Score:
Ifugao – 10
Apayao – 12

With the result, the team placed fourth overall and earned the Bronze award.

Emotions ran high after the final out, as several players were in tears following the tough loss—an evident reflection of their desire to win and the effort they poured into the game. Despite the setback, the team demonstrated resilience and sportsmanship throughout the competition. 🧡

Ifugao Secondary boys won over Abra team in the volleyball boys event with a score 2-1.

The excitement moved the team while their girl-counterpart players in volleyball enthusiastically cheered as they (girls) eagerly awaited their play scheduled at 1 o'clock this afternoon against Apayao.

For the second win tomorrow, go Ifugao!

22 February 2026 | Ifugao Delegates – CARAA 2026 💚🔥

Day 1 kicked off with a vibrant parade, opening program, ceremonial torch lighting, and the oath-taking of all CAR delegations composed of Abra, Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Kalinga, and our very own Ifugao.

The event was overwhelmingly supported and participated in by Ifugao officials led by Governor Jerry U. Dalipog, SP Members, Mayors, and Provincial Heads.

This year's athletic meet was graced by DepEd OIC Virginia S. Batan-Amogan, DepEd‑CAR RD Estela L. Cariño, and keynote speaker DepEd Undersecretary Fatima Lipp Panontongan, showing full support to the CARAA 2026.

Way to go, Ifugao delegates! 💚
