Illinois Valley Cellular is currently experiencing a network issue that is impacting our customer's ability to make and receive calls. We are actively working to resolve this issue and hope to have a resolution as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Your phone will automatically begin working again once this issue is resolved.

Illinois Valley Cellular is in transition to add VoLTE services (Voice over LTE) on our network. National carriers have decommissioned their 3G CDMA networks across the country and, because of this change, VoLTE services are required for making voice calls off network. We always do our best to minimize any disruption or inconvenience to our customers, but this transition has created some temporary calling issues.
Our Network team is working around the clock to get these issues fixed and hope to have resolutions for you very soon. In the meantime, if you are having issues calling, you can still use over-the-top applications such as WhatsApp, Snapchat, FaceTime, iMessage for iPhone users, and Google Voice.

Update: Crews were working till early morning hours and have repaired the Fiber cut and service has been restored. Thank you again for your patience.

UPDATE as of 4:30pm: Crews have located a fiber cut and are on site. We will post an update once we have an estimated time for repair.

We are currently experiencing service issues in our Southern coverage area that is affecting data and voice services. This could include parts of Ford, Iroquois, and Livingston counties.
Our Network team is aware of the issue and is actively working on a resolution. Updates will be posted on this page when information is available. We do apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE: 1:08pm July 21st, 2022 - We are currently experiencing intermittent data issues with our LTE network. Our network engineers are working on a solution. We will keep you updated with any changes.

In the early morning hours of June 21st, 2022, our network team installed an update to our network. As a result, the phone may stay on 1x or 3G services in an LTE area. To resolve this, please turn your phone off and back on again. You also can achieve these results by using airplane mode on your phone by toggling airplane mode on for 5 seconds, then toggle it off.
