What does investment mean in your life?

esson 5 Invest with God The best soil to invest in is God’s work and people. Luke 6:38 Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men into you bosom. For with same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
It therefore makes a good investment sense to give. Tithe and offering makes excellent investments. Malachi 3:10” Bring ye all the tithe into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing that there shall be not be room enough to receive it “. God’s word is powerful and it creates, so if we do as by God then the results manifest. Tithe and offering are good investment. Counsels on stewardship. Every good thing on earth was placed here by bountiful hands of God as an expression of His love to man. The poor are His and the cause of religion is His. The gold and the silver are the Lord’s and He could rain them from heaven if He chose. But instead of this He made His steward, entrusting him with means not to be hoarded, but to be used in benefiting others. He thus make man the medium through which he distribute His blessing on earth. God planned the system of beneficence, in order that man might become like his Creator, benevolent and unselfish in character and finally be a partaker with Christ of eternal , glory reward. {CS 15.2} Conclusion A lot of people live life without reaching their full potential. God gave us enough tools and talents to make us fruitful and give us comfortable gratifying live. One just has to learn the lessons and occupy till the Saviour returns. Some prefer to sit on their talents and complain about the lack of opportunities, blaming God for their poverty and lack. Let us be like faithful servants who were given talents and multiply them. If every one were to live a life realizing their full potential, the church barns.....

Lesson 4 Dyara (Invest) (Go Jala) We all need to develop an investment culture. Not every cent that falls into hands is for consumption. A certain portion must always be invested. The problem that we have as human we consume every cent that we earn, thereby limiting our growth potential. 10% of all your income must be dedicated to an investment of your choice Develop that culture and your barns will never run dry. Also find soil to plant new seeds in order to increase your yield every season. Some of our parents always planted on the same field from season to season. This always provide the same yield year on year. The wise thing to do always increase the amount that you plant so as to realize greater yields. Look for new uncultivated land and ask to work the land and plant. That way there is growth or multiplication. DO NOT exist without an invest plan. Even small but constant streams of income will fill the barn.

Lesson 3 Sunga Dumbu (Limit your expenditure) (Fokotsa Tiriso Ya Madi) Buy asset not liabilities. Income earners not spenders Limit your expenditure so as to grow your income.
As point in case take a coke bottle and imagine it has holes on both ends. Your top holes (small) being the size of your income and your bottom hole (Large) being the size of your expenditure. If your income flows in like water there is nothing at the bottom to limit your outflow so eventually you will run dry and run into debt. This is because your expenditure is more that your income. If you flip the bottle and the bigger hole goes on top and you squeeze the expenditure (bottom hole) to a minimum. Your barn will be filled eventually. This is because there is more coming in than going out. Take stock of your earning per month and list them right down to the last cent. Then take stock of your income. If expenditure is more than you income then Sunga Dumbu or limit your expenditure or increase your income to outweigh your expenditure. Remember Rand 100 saved everyday may buy you a car in 10years.[R100(10Years x 365days) = R365 000. 00

Lesson 2 Find good soil (simba rembewu riri muvhu)( Matla a peo a mo mmung) Good soil produces 30 fold, 60 fold, 100 fold Matt 13:8. Growth is inevitable when seed is constantly given occupation. Put your money to work. Give it occupation. Find good soil in your money. Many people likes to keep junks in their store rooms. Some that work others that don’t. You are better of selling those things getting money in your hands then investing. That money will grow yet junk or clothes never appreciate in value. In fact, the longer you keep them, the more them the more chances that they will either rust, be stolen or become obsolete.

Lesson 1
The power of the seed Seed is one the best gifts given to mankind by God. It’s a promise for:

a) Perpetual supply when a farmer or a business person receives seed they must celebrate because there is a promise given by God which lies within the properties of seed. Seed has the capacity to reproduce its self over and over again as long conducive conditions are applied Seeds only stops producing when it is put in to wrong use eg. Consumption ( Kudya mbeu) or being left in the store house or not given the right amount of attention to ensure nourishment so that it’s properties can manifest. b) Perpetual growth ( multiplication) When you plant a seed, it has a natural tendency to multiply. Even branches when pruned produce multiples shoots. I’m not aware of any plant whose seeds only produce a harvest of one. What would be the point of planting it in the first place then? Gen 1:11, 29 This lesson suggest that it is God’s plan to always uplift your financial status from one point to the other. This is done through the concept of growth and multiplication.

The seed is not for consumption.

Introduction Many life’s lesson are derived from farming. Bible itself especially the Old Testament was written with a view that people existed in agro-based economies. Salvation itself is referred to as a harvest and Christ, the husbandman or the farmer. You and I are referred to as the reapers or workers and the word of God being the seed. The early and later rain being the Holy Spirit and Soil being our hearts. These illustrations can be found in the parable of the Sower in Mathew 22, in James 5:7 among other texts. This therefore reveals the importance of farming and how critical is it the lives of God’s people. Farming also teaches a lot of lesson to those in business and those intending to grow their wealth. There is a great lesson where the bible talks of the fruits of the earth. This lesson is not specific to farming alone but any other forms of business that utilize the farming principles of seeds and multiplication. James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruits of the earth and hath long patience for it until he receives the early and later rain. God himself is beefing depicted as the farmer who sows, water then reaps. Notice how patient is a key element of the entire process. No seed ever bears fruits immediately after sowing as many would prefer. This covered more in detail in the Author’s series Vana Vadiki havameri Ndebvu (Bana ga ba tswe ditedu) Let us briefly look at each lesson

The book of Genesis is the foundation for the theology/business core values and other kinds of investment of work. Any discussion of work in biblical perspectiv e eventually finds itself grounded on passages in this book. Genesis is incomparably significant for the theology of work because it tells the story of God’s work of creation, the first work of all and the prototype for all work that follows. God is not dreaming an illusion but creating a reality. The created universe that God brings into existence then provides the material of human work—space, time, matter and energy. Within the created universe, God is present in relationship with his creatures and especially with people. Laboring in God’s image, we work in creation, on creation, with creation and—if we work as God intends—for creation.

In Genesis we see God at work, and we learn how God intends us to work. We both obey and disobey God in our work, and we discover that God is at work in both our obedience and disobedience. The other sixty-five books of the Bible each have their own unique contributions to add to the theology of work. Yet they all spring from the source found here, in Genesis, the first book of the Bible.
