Man, a lot has happened since we last spoke on this acc!
Let me catch you up - I represented Digital Dunes as Marketing Specialist in Germany last week. We attending Gamescom, and as someone who wouldn’t consider themselves a gaming fanatic, it was a crazy experience.

Being in Europe with cool weather was exactly what I needed considering it’s a million degrees in Qatar right now. But now we’re back and working towards the next event. 🤞🏼

I’m extremely grateful for the event and the opportunity to be there in person and showcase all the artwork and marketing materials I created.

Ever look at a marketing campaign and think, “Hmm, that’s not for me”? Well, chances are, it might not be — and that’s okay! 🎯

As marketers, we need to remember that our coffee preferences might not align with our target demographic’s tea-tasting palette. So before we unleash our creativity, let’s park our biases and do a little cultural homework 📚.

Understanding the cultural nuances ensures our message resonates rather than misfires. It’s like being a great party guest; you want to fit in, contribute to the vibe, and maybe even get invited back!

So before hitting that launch button, ask yourself: Is this campaign a friendly handshake or an awkward fist bump? Because in the world of marketing, one size rarely fits all. Let’s keep it relevant, inclusive, and yes, maybe even a little adventurous. 🌎

How did you choose your specialisation within digital marketing? ✏️

My journey into digital marketing was not a straight line at all. Looking back from when I left school to now, I see I was always interested in marketing. Every billboard, cheap one liner on a mug, or brochure at traffic lights caught my attention.

I mainly liked the art and design parts because I thought they were cool. But now, I see that I was always curious about how these things made people feel.

I began my career in the printing business, where creating labels for water bottles was the best part of my day. A few years later, I moved on to bigger tasks that came with more pressure, like making billboards. Any small mistake there could mean hours of extra work, redesigning, and not to mention, a bit more than just pocket change lost. That’s when I realised I actually enjoyed the challenge. Once I dived into the world of online marketing, there was no turning back.

12.02.24 - it’s been about 1 year since my last update here, and boy has a lot changed.
From traveling to another country for work, to coming back home, then my wife traveled to a new country for work. It’s been a lot. But we are still creating new things everyday, and luckily for me, I have my two assistants who make sure I never miss a projects due date! 🐈 🐈‍⬛

Working with brands is something I’ve become more familiar with in the last 3 years. In the beginning all it was, was exciting to be wanted by a company and so I was always excited to do it cause, quite honestly, free stuff?! 😅
But through the years I’ve learnt that working with the right brands that align with your brand and ideology is the most important part.
You don’t want to be associated with any and everything thrown your way because your personality gets saturated.

Through out the years I’ve done a lot of work with health and wellness companies, and I can easily say .zim has been the most beneficial to my lifestyle and work ethic. This is a company that is still in their youth stage which is even more beneficial as I can test these products and recommend where and which route to best take considering I fall directly under the ideal consumer demographic.

I’m excited to keep up this partnership and help pass on to other people in the sporting world that just because the packaging doesn’t have some high impact, muscle ripping catch line - doesn’t mean we need to throw it to the way side. Our physical appearance is important, of course. But what’s just as if not more important is what’s going on beneath the surface, after beating your body up in the gym, track field, on the bike, in the pool for 2+ hours a day, our body is working hard to make sure we are recovering optimally.
