*DONโT LET YOUR FALL STOP YOUR JOURNEY TO THE WELL*
John 4:1โ30(Story of the Samaritan Woman)
โช We are living in a world that quickly judges people because of their past, mistakes, failures, and painful life experiences. Society labels people according to their falls, weaknesses, and tragedies.
โช Even in families and churches, some people who fall in their Christian walk are isolated, condemned, and rejected.
But thank God, Jesus does not abandon people because they have fallen.
โช The story of the Samaritan woman teaches us a powerful lesson: That Your fall should never stop your journey to the well.
โช This woman had a painful and complicated history. Society knew her story. People talked about her. She carried shame, rejection, and emotional wounds. That is why she came to the well alone at noon โ avoiding people, avoiding judgment, and avoiding mockery.
But despite all that, _she still kept going to the well_.
โช Perhaps in her heart she was saying:
-โYes, people reject me.
-Yes, they speak about my past.
-Yes, I have fallen and made mistakes.
-But I still need water in my house.
-Let me continue going to the well.
-Maybe one day I will encounter the Living Water.โ
โช Child of God, never stop going to the well because of your fall.
-Never stop praying because you made mistakes.
-Never stop attending church because people judged you.
-Never stop worshipping because your life is not perfect.
โช The enemy wants people to quit their spiritual journey because of shame and condemnation. But the well is exactly where broken people meet Jesus.
โช According to the Word of God, water represents the Word and presence of God.
-Ephesians 5:26 โ...having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.โ
-John 7:L38 โHe who believes in Meโฆ out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.โ
โช Many people today are spiritually thirsty, emotionally wounded, and mentally exhausted. Some are carrying guilt from past sins, failed marriages, addictions, disappointments, and backsliding.
The world may label them โsinners,โ but Jesus still calls them His children.
โช Jesus said in Luke 5:31โ32: โThose who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.โ
โช Jesus intentionally went through Samaria because Heaven had an appointment with a rejected woman.
-People avoided her, but Jesus approached her.
-People condemned her, but Jesus restored her.
-People saw her failures, but Jesus saw her future.
-And one encounter with Jesus changed her entire story.
โช The woman who once hid from people became a preacher to the city.
-The woman who carried shame became a carrier of revival.
-The woman who came looking for ordinary water encountered the Living Water.
โช But there is another powerful lesson we see in the Bible concerning people who refused to leave the place of healing.
-In John 5:1โ9, the Bible speaks about a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years at the pool of Bethesda. The angel would come at a certain season and stir the waters, and whoever entered first would be healed.
-For thirty-eight years, this man remained near the waters.
โช People may have mocked him. People may have lost hope in him. Others may have given up on him.
-But he refused to disconnect himself from the place where healing could happen.
-Perhaps many times he watched others receive miracles while he remained there sick and disappointed. Yet he kept returning to the waters.
One day, Jesus Himself came to that pool.
-The man who could not reach the waters encountered the One who created the waters.
-The man who had been forgotten by society was remembered by Jesus.
-And in one moment, thirty-eight years of suffering came to an end.
โช This teaches us something as Christians:
-Never leave the place of your miracle.
-Never disconnect yourself from God because your breakthrough delayed.
-Never stop going to the well because others received before you.
-Your day of encounter is coming.
โช Some people stop praying because nothing changed quickly.
-Some stop attending church because they became discouraged.
-Some stop believing because they waited too long.
-But the Samaritan woman kept going to the well. - The lame man kept staying near the waters. And both eventually encountered Jesus.
โช My brother, my sister Sometimes your breakthrough is hidden in your consistency.
-Sometimes your miracle is waiting in the very place where you almost gave up.
-Galatians 6:9: โAnd let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.โ
โช This teaches us that:
-Your fall is not your finish.
-Your weakness is not your identity.
-Your mistake cannot cancel Godโs purpose.
-God still visits forgotten people.
-God still restores broken people.
-God still heals those who continue waiting at the waters.
๐ต Micah 7:8: โRejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall ariseโฆโ
_THIS TEACHES US THAT_:
1. Keep going to the well even when people talk about you
Do not allow mockery to separate you from God.
2. Stay connected to the place of healing
The man at Bethesda stayed near the waters until Jesus came.
3. Jesus meets people at their lowest moments
Your brokenness does not scare Jesus away.
4. One encounter with Jesus can change your entire story
Years of pain can be healed in one divine encounter.
5. God can use people with messy histories
Your testimony can become someone elseโs deliverance.
6. Delay does not mean denial
Even after many years, God can still visit you.
7. The Living Water satisfies the thirsty soul
People, relationships, and worldly things cannot fill the emptiness inside us. Only Jesus can.
John 4:14 โBut whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.โ
โช Do not let your fall stop your journey to the well.
-Keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep seeking God.
-Keep going to church. Keep believing.
-One day, at the well, you will encounter Jesus โ and your story will change forever.
ยฉยฉAccording to Archbishop EH Guti In His Book _WHAT PEOPLE EXPECT WHEN THEY COME TO CHURCH_ "People come to church expecting their needs to be met. It is exactly the same way when the multitude came to Jesus. They did not come seeking to go to heaven but for their needs to be met. They come to be healed spiritually and physically. They come for help from their problems they have in life and in the family. When they find the goodness of God they begin to desire to go to heaven. When they are born again they become children of God"
