A 100 M budget, 17 countries, diverse global teams, and a 160-year-old company—this is how we transformed it.

It took us 2 years to implement the right technology,
→ But, we spent 5 years cultivating the culture
to sustain the transformation.

For us, the Transformation was a result of:
↳ Strategy – To show the Way
↳ Systems – To go the Way
↳ People – To lead the Way

It started with People and is sustained by People.

Here are 3 things you can do to create a Transformational Culture:

→ Be a Thermostat, Not a Thermometer:
As you step into any situation, the choice is yours.
Are you a spectator or take a stand and make change?
Indifference makes you a thermometer

↳ But as a changemaker, you are a thermostat,
actively setting the environment for others to thrive.

→ Become a Level 5 Leader:
In "Good to Great", Jim Collins describes five types of leadership.
Level 5’s the highest, mixing guts with grace.

↳ Its not about in charge but about charging up others to perform at their best.
Aim for Level 5—grow leaders who’ll grow others, maybe even outgrow you.

→ Create Leaders, Not Followers:
Think about it. When you lead followers, you’re just adding to the crowd.
But when you create leaders? You’re building an army.

↳ That's where real growth happens. You're not just expanding, you're multiplying
—turning individual potential into collective power.

Here is a Transformational leadership checklist:

☐ Be the Thermostat not the Thermometer
☐ Become a Level 5 Leader
☐ Create Leaders

Ever felt like you're running on a treadmill,
working hard but not getting anywhere?

Let's change that.

Want to get a 'Return on Energy' this year?
→ Become an 'Anti-Vision' person.

Today, let's get YOU ready for 2024!

Instead of creating a list of what you
want to achieve this year and then setting goals,
let's flip the script and create an "Anti-Vision" board.

↳ It's not about what you want to achieve,
but what you want to AVOID.

Think about the things you do not want to do in 2024
and counter them with a productive alternative.

Consider these aspects:
→ Yourself: Body, Mind, and Spirit
→ Vocation: Career, Work, and Growth
→ Relationships: Romance, Family, and Friends.

Here is a quick Anti-Vision list:

1. I don't want elevated blood sugar levels.
↳ Work out 3 times a week & stay off carbs

2. I don't want to be a dull person.
↳ Swap Netflix for TED Talks.

3. I don't want to be filled with anxiety.
↳ Connect with your higher power daily.

4. I don't want to have a poor work-life balance.
↳ Implement strict boundaries.

5. I don't want to live in fear of losing my job.
↳ Build your brand, and attract opportunities.

6. I don't want to burn out due to excessive workload.
↳ Focus on quality vs quantity this year.

7. I don't want my family to feel unappreciated.
↳ Be generous with verbal acknowledgments weekly.

8. I don't want to neglect my partner's emotional needs.
↳ Plan time outs, vacations, and date nights.

9. I don't want to miss important family events.
↳ Use an annual calendar to track important dates.

10. I don't want to hang out with the wrong crowd.
↳ Collaborate with like-minded individuals only.

Creating your vision can be challenging when
you're trying to predict an
unforeseeable future.

But you can surely look to the past to
define what exactly you do not
want to have repeated this year.

This will get you your 'Return on Energy'.

PS: Make your 'Anti-Vision' list today, and start your energetic 2024!

A clear sign of a successful change waiting to happen:

Everyone is invested in achieving the same objectives.

Whenever I see teams struggling and resisting to change,
I know that leaders have their own personal agendas.

Because the truly wise and courageous?
"They build empires, not sandcastles."

"Be the change that you wish to see in the world." 𝘔𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘢 𝘎𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘩𝘪

So, what do secure leaders do differently?

▶ Listen to their people:
⟳ They know the gold lies in understanding their team.
▶ Understand their needs:
⟳ They dig deep to get to the heart of what drives their people.
▶ Address their objections:
⟳ They tackle issues head-on, not brushing them under the carpet.
▶ Create initiatives where we all win:
⟳ They build strategies that benefit everyone involved.

There is no such thing as "Workplace Ethics."

There are only Ethics.

In a polarized world, our commitment to Values and Culture sets us apart.

Your company mirrors your essence—every experience,
belief, passion, bias, and skill you possess.

At the core of this lies a fundamental principle – Ethics.

That's what makes it unmistakably unique.
That's what makes it invaluable.

And remember, a brand is more than a label -
it's a testament to the value

When we ignore the so-called 'small' ethical bugs,
we're risking the entire network's integrity.

The Ethical Dilemma we face:

➤ The convenience trap: doing what’s easy over what’s right.
➤ The win-at-all-costs mindset: justifying any means to an end.
➤ The rationalization of relativism: bending our moral compass to suit the situation.

But how do we uphold Ethics?

The age-old Golden Rule that threads through
the tapestry of numerous faiths and beliefs:

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

But, watch out!

Here's how the Golden Rule gets tested:

↳ Pressure: It tempts us to break our word, to compromise, to bow to others instead of standing by our truth.

↳ Pleasure: When comfort becomes more important than integrity, we're headed for trouble.

↳ Power & Pride: Both can seduce us away from our ethical compass, blinding us to our faults and to the needs of others.

↳Priorities: Remember, what matters most must never be sidelined by what matters least.

Ethics begins with individual action.
𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆:

→ Choose integrity, when the wrong may seem justifiable
→ Treat others with greater kindness than expected.
→ Go the extra mile – without being asked.
→ Help those who can't return the favor.
→ Keep promises, despite the difficulty.

The equation is elegantly simple :

Ethics + Competence = The Winning Formula.

P.S. Is integrity your top priority? Yes or No?

Understand Value to Create Value.

In the fast-paced world of business transformation
we often come across showstoppers!

Here is a concise guide to avoiding them
and accelerating your journey:

🔴 Ignoring the team's work-life balance.
🟢 Boost morale by valuing personal time.

🔴 Overlooking feedback on tools & processes.
🟢 Show support for continuous improvement.

🔴 Opaque plans cause confusion & mistrust.
🟢 Transparency fosters trust & aligns teams.

🔴 Allowing achievements to go unrecognized.
🟢 Celebrate success and credit to motivate.

🔴 Micromanaging kills creativity & ownership.
🟢 Delegate well, and empower to innovate.

🔴 No clear boundaries invite burnout.
🟢 Respect boundaries, promote well-being.

🔴 Disregarding the team's core values
🟢 Sync benefits with what the team treasures.

🔴 Not being involved in day-to-day challenges.
🟢 Lead by example and engage daily.

🔴 Public discipline undermines respect.
🟢 Praise publicly, discipline privately with dignity.

Digital Transformation, People Transformation or
Business Model Transformation.

People are the Integral part of all those
transformative strategies

👉People want to be

→ Heard
→ Trusted
→ Respected
→ Understood
→ Appreciated

"People need to feel valued".

I've led teams of over 150 across 17 countries.

My secret sauce?

Challenging the status quo.

We didn't:

→ Assume innovation is a spontaneous occurrence.
→ Hesitate to disrupt routine for superior solutions.
→ Wait for trends to dictate our digital strategy.
→ Settle when excellence is achievable.

Instead:

→ Insisted Upskilling as a non-negotiable.
→ Pushed for tech adoption that made us pioneers
→ Digital fluency became our team's collective language.
→ Promoted the thrill of innovation and the rewards it brings.

Sticking to the safe route can keep a team busy, sure.
But sooner or later, they'll crave more—

↳ more challenges,
↳ more meaning,
↳ more impact.

United We Conquer, Divided We Surrender

In the face of digital disruption,
We need unity and innovation to thrive.

Our real adversary isn't our traditional competition,
but technology's relentless advance.

Failure to adapt and innovate in this tech-driven world poses a grave risk to our very existence.

From legendary strategists like
Alexander the Great to George S. Patton,
success hinged on the unity and
the collective strength of their command.

In the corporate battlefield,
it's the CEO, CFO, COO, CHRO, and CIO
leading the charge, that will redefine
the future of the organization.

Here's a crucial blueprint for their transformative success:

For CIOs:
🖥️ Ninjas of Technology Transformation

✔ Audit IT capabilities; pinpoint upgrades.
✔ Blend tech goals with business vision.
✔ Handpick transformative technologies.
✔ Map out an agile implementation journey.
✔ Champion tech fluency across departments.

For COOs:
⚙️ Masters of Process Transformation

✔ Chart current processes; spotlight snags.
✔ Tackle high-impact process enhancements first.
✔ Design digital solutions for sleeker workflows.
✔ Pilot, then scale, new process solutions.
✔ Measure, refine, repeat.

For CHROs:
🧩 Champions of Organizational Transformation

✔ Dissect organizational DNA; plan its evolution.
✔ Sketch the future: roles reshaped by digital.
✔ Start change management; make it stick.
✔ Rewrite policies to back digital behaviors.
✔ Track the cultural shift’s success.

For CEOs and CFOs:
💼 Ideation Machines of Business Transformation

✔ Market analysis? Done. Now spot digital gold mines.
✔ Rethink value propositions through a digital lens.
✔ Prototype your digital business model.
✔ Test, learn, then launch.
✔ Grow and adapt with feedback.

Remember,

👉Isolated efforts lead to fragmented outcomes.

When transformations in technology, process,
organization and business models unite,
growth becomes not just a goal,
but a guarantee.

𝘛𝘓𝘋𝘙:
Business Transformation is a collective
victory of teamwork and collaboration.

CEO: This digital transformation plan seems overcomplicated.

CIO: What part do you find complex?

CEO: Just the entire scope feels overwhelming.

CIO: I understand your concern, but may I explain why this complexity is necessary?

CEO: Please.

CIO: Our growth needs to evolve with technology, right?

CEO: Absolutely, It's central to our strategy.

CIO: And technology is reshaping our operations, agreed?

CEO: Yes, that's evident.

CIO: This plan, though elaborate, is designed to simplify our future. Is that a perspective you can consider?

CEO: That’s an interesting way to put it.

CIO: In my world, technology is relentless. But in the boardroom, I must translate that pace into strategic milestones. We're aligned on this?

CEO: Agreed, there's a balance to be struck.

CIO: As I depend on you to guide me in aligning with our business vision, you rely on my IT expertise. Is that a fair statement?

CEO: More than fair.

CIO: It's about keeping us competitive, not complicating things. Does this make sense?

(The CFO, silently observing, nods)

CEO: Yes, I see your point.

CIO: It’s not random tech. We’re building a digital ecosystem aligned with our vision. Misalignments must be addressed together.

CEO: And how do you propose we do that?

CIO: By linking each initiative to business outcomes. It's about streamlining, not complicating. I need to translate our digital goals into business results you can measure. Agree?

CEO: (nods)

CIO: My proposal: walkthrough each step, aligning with our goals.
If the outcomes don't match our targets, we adjust, or you call me out.

CEO: (raises an eyebrow)

CIO: If the business doesn't adapt or invest in necessary areas, we must talk again. Because digital transformation is a two-way street.

CEO: (no longer raising an eyebrow)

CIO: It’s your company, your vision. We’re in this together, and I need your support as much as you need my expertise. Let's draft a roadmap with this understanding, shall we?

CEO: I think we're beginning to speak the same language.

CIO: So, do we proceed with the plan?

CEO: Provided our dialogue continues like this.

👇

The exchange above illustrates a fundamental truth in business dynamics:

"Good Leaders Ask Great Questions" - 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 𝘊 𝘔𝘢𝘹𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭

It is the art of negotiation!

Successful CEOs aren’t technophobes;
↳ they are visionaries who understand the power of technology.

And effective CIOs don’t just talk tech;
↳ they translate it into business value.

Leadership hinges on dialogue, understanding, and a joint approach to change.
↳ When both sides of the boardroom table talk, the whole company advances.

"Engage in dialogue and champion transformation."

If this sparked a new idea or perspective, pass it on.♻️

Got the best tools but no results?
It's not about the bike...🚴‍♂️

Chatting with a friend, they bragged about their company's new digital tool.
Yet, their team? They barely touched it.

Imagine purchasing the most sleek and productive bicycle, only to let it gather dust without ever experiencing its true purpose. That's a company investing in tools but failing at adoption.

Our era is digital-drenched.
But here's the twist: it's not merely about piling up advanced tools or investing in the latest software; it's about evolving with them, aligning them with your mission, and letting them redefine your business trajectory.

Discover ➨ Embrace ➨ Transform

Discover the depth of your tools, not just their interface.
Discover their potential to amplify, not just exist as business add-ons.
Discover the paths they carve, not just the immediate solutions they offer.

Embrace the tools, not merely purchase.
Embrace the underlying potential, not just the surface allure.
Embrace the journey of transformation, not just the initiation.

For without transformation, tools are but trinkets.
For without understanding, innovation is mere illusion.
For without adoption, we're all just idling in neutral.

Is there an ERP that's underutilized?
Maybe using a CRM as a digital phone book instead of a customer journey management platform!

Together, let's pedal not just for motion but for momentum;
for not just speed, but direction & excellence.

"15 Traits You Don't Want in your Digital Leader."

1. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: In a rapidly evolving world, they’re still buffering.

2. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗿: Knows Windows 95 intimately. The Cloud? That's just the weather to them.

3. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿: They'd rather follow the latest fad than craft a sustainable strategy.

4. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? More like 'My way or the digital highway'.

5. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆? Only if tunnel vision counts.

6. 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗰: They think ‘constructive criticism’ is an oxymoron.

7. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: "Teamwork" isn't in their dictionary, but "isolated departments" sure is.

8. 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗿: Why innovate when you can stagnate?

9. 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗮𝘀: Sees tech as the only solution, humans as mere accessories.

10. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲: Thinks Slack is a synonym for laziness.

11. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱: They last updated their skills when dial-up was a thing.

12. 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗿: Their pep talks can make a coffee machine go to sleep.

13. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿: Sees a nail for every hammer.

14. 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿: They trust, but verify... then doubt, then double-check.

15. 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗼: Their idea of adaptability is turning the computer off and on.

A true anti-digital leader is more than just a series of quirks; they’re the iceberg waiting for your Titanic transformation program.

Remember, folks: these traits aren't a roadmap; they're warning signs! 🚫
