Yes, you read that right. The vast majority of gamers believe that the metaverse will change the entire industry according to a survey by tech services firm Globant and polling firm YouGov. Game industry has been growing exponentially and we wanted to understand how gamers view its future.

According to the survey, only 35% of respondents would be comfortable with advertising in metaverse. About half of respondents would accept advertising in exchange for free apps and games.

More than half of gamers are more interested in “playing” within the metaverse than “earning” a virtual currency or points. However the significant number of gamers see the value in mixing playing and earning together — and as these numbers show, there are many ways to do that.
