Attackers are using AI-generated phishing, voice cloning and session hijacking to exploit human behaviour in ways traditional awareness training never covered.

A modern security awareness programme needs continuous training and realistic simulations. It also needs faster reporting, and a culture where employees feel safe admitting a mistake.

A completion certificate doesn't tell you whether someone will spot the next real attack. Behaviour does.

Read the full article to see what a modern security awareness programme should look like in 2026.

Most teams assume a SIEM pulling telemetry from 15 tools means they have visibility.

But correlating events isn't the same as understanding them. A SIEM can show you that a login from an odd location and a new OAuth consent happened on the same account. It can't tell you if that's a real incident or just noise.

Here's what that gap looks like in practice: a phishing email, a stolen session, an OAuth consent grant, and mailbox access, spread across five different tools. None of them caught it alone.

Having an AI policy is easy.

Knowing what every AI agent can access, what it can do, and what stops it from going further is harder.

That is where the difference between an AI policy and an AI guardrail becomes important.

Because the more autonomy you give an AI agent, the more important it becomes to know where its boundaries actually are.

Read the full article to understand what those boundaries should look like.

iConnect June 2026 Cybersecurity Vulnerability Roundup 🔒

74,000 exposed Fortinet firewall logins, and not one of them needed a new CVE to leak. FortiBleed traced back to admin passwords nobody rotated across years of version upgrades. June also delivered critical, actively exploited flaws in SimpleHelp, Cisco Unified CM, Cisco SD-WAN Manager, PTC Windchill, Oracle E-Business Suite, Ubiquiti UniFi OS, and Gitea. We break down which ones to patch first and why.

Having a PAM solution does not automatically mean your privileged access is secure.

Most companies have PAM deployed. Few can prove it is actually reducing risk.
They track login activity and session numbers, but often miss the bigger question: is access being reviewed and removed when it is no longer needed?
That gap between managing privileged access and effectively controlling it is where real exposure remains.

We covered how to measure PAM effectiveness properly and the key areas organisations should evaluate beyond simply having the platform deployed.
