Rubikal Announces Strategic Acquisition of iSchool-Dedicated Business Unit
Rubikal, a leading global software engineering house, today announced the successful acquisition of its dedicated iSchool business unit by iSchool, the MENA region’s premier K12 programming platform.
This transition marks the culmination of a three-year strategic partnership where Rubikal served as iSchool’s primary engineering arm. During this period, Rubikal architected and scaled iSchool’s platform from a flagship product into a high-concurrency, multi-sector infrastructure operating across more than 20 countries.
The Ultimate Validation of Engineering Excellence:
The acquisition includes the transition of Rubikal’s specialized team - spanning Backend, Frontend, Mobile, PM, and QA - directly into iSchool’s internal organization.
As part of this move, Rubikal co-founders Mohamed Ibrahim and Moustafa Badawy will transition into iSchool’s executive leadership as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering, respectively.
"This is the strongest possible validation of Rubikal's 'Build & Scale' model," said Mohamed Ibrahim, Co-founder of Rubikal and incoming CTO of iSchool. "Our goal has always been to build engineering units so high-performing and deeply integrated that they become the core engine of our partners' success. When a partner chooses to bring that unit fully in-house, it is the ultimate proof that the engineering bar we set is world-class."
Strategic Growth for iSchool:
For iSchool, the acquisition consolidates its technical foundation to accelerate the development of its AI-driven learning systems.
"The synergy between iSchool and Rubikal was clear from day one," said Muhammad Gawish, Co-founder and CEO of iSchool. "Rubikal didn’t just provide services; they were an extension of our vision. Bringing this specialized unit in-house allows us to fully align our technical capabilities as we build the next generation of AI infrastructure for global education."
Rubikal’s Next Chapter, Expanding Global Impact:
Following this divisional transition, Rubikal remains a fully independent engineering services company, doubling down on its mission to build high-impact software for a diverse global portfolio.
Rubikal continues to manage and expand long-running partnerships with major international clients, including Oivan, Wizeline, Crealogix, Strada, Roadtrip Nation, and E-Line Media. With operations spanning the US, Europe, and MENA, Rubikal is now focusing its capacity on a new wave of strategic partnerships.
"Rubikal was built to be a global software house, and that mission continues with renewed focus," said Nada Akmal, Public Relations (PR) Lead at Rubikal. "The iSchool chapter sets the standard for our future engagements. We are ready to deploy our proven blueprint to help our next cohort of partners navigate complex technical challenges and achieve global scale."
