TOEFL Reading tips (part 2):
#3. Skip Difficult Questions and Return to Them Later:
If you encounter a Reading you don’t understand, don’t spend a large amount of worrying about it—just skip it and move on. Moving past questions lets you yourself more efficiently and also prevents you from spending too much time working on a single question.
Once you’ve the section, go back to the difficult question and try to rework it. If you still can’t figure it out or are running out of time, use the of (tip #4) to take an educated guess. Remember, wrong don’t count against you, so it’s always better to than to leave a question blank!
#4. Use the Process of Elimination:
If you get to a Reading or Listening question you don’t , don’t guess before trying to .
Here’s how the process : instead of looking for the answer choice, you’ll look for the answer choices. The more incorrect choices you can , the higher you’ll have of selecting the correct answer.
Wrong answer choices can be tough to find but will usually:
• State the of the passage or audio clip
• Refer to in the passage or audio clip
• Mention to the passage or audio clip
