DEF CON was everything this year. 🔥

I got to host a disclosure party with my friend Roni Carta over at Depi, host two panels (one at Red Team Village and one at the Bug Bounty Village, DEF CON), and run a workshop at BBV.

Somehow squeezed all of that in and still had time to catch up with what feels like half the people I only get to see once a year. That’s the part that always gets me. The talks and villages are great, but it’s the hallway runs-ins, and the late nights with friends that make Vegas worth it every single time.

Already missing the chaos and the energy. Counting down to next year. 🙌 If we crossed paths this year, thank you; and if we didn’t, let’s fix that in 2027.

Oh and I got to meet NetworkChuck finally!

I made over $30,000 from broken access control on a single program

and no it wasn’t from spamming low severity IDORs hoping one sticks

the money came from understanding the application better than the people who built it, then chaining bugs until a low turned into a critical

IDOR to enumerate user IDs, profile leak to grab OAuth tokens and MFA secrets, impersonate endpoint to take over any account. Same bugs most people would report one by one for $500 each. Package them as one chain showing full account takeover and that payout changes completely
