own.page App is LIVE! 🚀

We’re more than happy to officially launch the Open Beta phase of own.page. This means that own.page is now available to everyone! You can download it from the Google Play or Apple App Store 📱, or use it directly as a web app at https://app.own.page. 🌐

The last few months have had their ups and downs—some great days, others challenging. Building the own.page app from scratch hasn’t been easy, especially with Dominik and I handling both development and the many other responsibilities of being founders. Balancing everything has been tough at times.

The past few weeks were especially intense—sleepless nights, endless cups of coffee, and last-minute bugs. We've experienced a rollercoaster of emotions, from excitement to exhaustion, but it’s all been worth it. Staying focused on our vision and saying no to distractions kept us going. Now, we’re ready to take the next big step for own.page. 💪

Huge props also to our former and current team members Simon Schneider, Sophia Stögerer, Lucas Melo and Alexandra Alexandru for your amazing contributions! Many things wouldn’t have been the same without you and your support!

✨ May marked some special events in our startup journey! 🚀We are excited to share our monthly highlights:

🚀 On May 1st, we launched the Closed Beta version of own.page! 🤩

📲 Since then, over 90 pages have been created by users. 💖

👥 We released our Discord Community Server, which has helped us immensely in getting valubale user feedback. 💬

⛩️ Elitza and Dominik gained some valuable market insights on their trip to Japan and had various opportunities to pitch own.page and network with different stakeholders!

👩‍💻 We have implemented 3 exciting new major features and app improvements! 🆕

In the past two weeks, Dominik and Elitza from our team went on a business trip to Japan. 🇯🇵 own.page, along with 4 other amazing startups from (.eco, , , ) was selected for the GO KANSAI 2024 program. Huge thanks to Global Incubator Network Austria (GIN) and AWS First Incubator for this incredible opportunity! Special thanks specifically to Chiara Witzemann, My Yen Lau, Julia Schanderl, Simon Psenner, and everyone involved. 🙏

We explored Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, and Tokyo 🗼, visited innovation labs and co-working spaces, and pitched our idea multiple times. Sushi Tech Tokyo 2024 🍣 was a highlight for us, where we connected with tech companies and got valuable feedback. There, we also talked to one Japanese company in our domain that already received Series A funding, which further validated that we are on the right path. 🚀

Overall, this trip gave us new strengths, inspiration, and a suitcase full of business cards 🤭. We also enjoyed Japanese culture, visited temples 🏯, beautiful locations 🌸, and bonded over super delicious cuisine 🍜.

A big thank you to everyone who made this trip memorable and to .mp4 for the amazing footage! 📸 Highly recommend AWS Connect and GO ASIA Global Incubator Network Austria (GIN) for startups looking to expand globally. 🌍

🏃‍♂️ Our team has completed the 2024 Vienna City Marathon Relay Run! 👟

FINALLY, we are ready to introduce you to the very first version of own.page! 🥳 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that, as of today, we have launched our Closed Beta. Everyone who has subscribed to our waiting list should have received an email with the details about testing own.page! 💫
