At Salone del Mobile 2026, Piknik Works presents House of Tilia, an immersive installation positioned at the end of one of the fair’s longest corridors. Conceived as a point of arrival, the project transforms a transitional axis into a spatial destination; drawing visitors into a slower, more atmospheric environment within the intensity of the exhibition.
Revisiting the spatial identity first developed for Tilia at Host Milano by Piknik Works, the proposal moves beyond the format of a conventional stand. Instead, it unfolds as a layered experience: a subtle shift from the dense and fast-paced rhythm of the fair into a calmer and more balanced spatial condition. The structure operates as a threshold, momentarily detaching visitors from their immediate surroundings.
Tilia’s outdoor-oriented design approach is reinterpreted through openness, layering, and light. A semi-transparent structural system, combined with a warm lighting scheme reminiscent of sunset, introduces a sense of temporal depth. The space operates simultaneously as inward-focused and permeable, allowing visual and atmospheric continuity while maintaining a distinct internal character.
