How a cover illustration comes to life!
It starts with rough sketches and a moodboard — finding one direction together with the client. From there: refining the shape in Illustrator, into Cinema 4D for modeling and materials, back and forth between clay renders and light setups until it feels right.
The process is half the work — often the better half.

Not a tagline on paper — but a design principle that holds everything together.

For .mediengruppe , we developed a key visual and motion system as part of the brand redesign. Grown from the brand itself, abstract geometric forms derived from the “Ü” of the wordmark arrange themselves in space and find structure through motion.

What begins as chaos reveals its logic.

Sustainability only works when things come together.

For the “warum!” magazine, I created an animated editorial 3D illustration on the topic of sustainability.
The university’s strategy is built on six interconnected fields that influence and reinforce each other.
The animation makes these relationships visible — showing how the different areas work together, and how even small changes can affect the whole.
Because sustainability only works when everything connects.

Side note:
I once studied at the university.
Now I had the chance to be part of how the university shares its ideas.
Feels like a full circle.
