Meet So Young Park, a Vienna-based artist whose practice explores the fragile space between life and death.

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, So Young studied Visual Art before moving to Vienna, where she is currently studying Performance Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Through her concept of Warm-Death, she reflects on mortality, impermanence, and the fleeting moments woven into everyday life.

In our conversation, we talk about performance, vulnerability, and the shifting boundaries between performer and audience.

Beneath Meidling station, there used to be a garden. It disappeared without leaving an image behind.

The Lost Garden by Christian Kosmas Mayer brings it back using research, memory, and AI.

But when the original is gone, what counts as authentic?

Art is not a luxury. It’s part of our wellbeing. 🧡

Art can reduce stress, improve mood, strengthen human connection and support cognitive health over time. Whether we’re visiting exhibitions, listening to music, watching performances or creating something ourselves — creative experiences shape how we feel, think and connect with the world around us.

And this isn’t just a feeling. Research from institutions including King’s College London, University College London, the World Health Organization and the American Art Therapy Association continues to highlight the strong connection between creativity, health and emotional wellbeing.

In a world that constantly demands our attention, art gives us space to slow down, reflect and reconnect.

That’s why art matters. 🧡

You walk past history every day - without even noticing it.

The Palace of Justice in Vienna is one of those places. Built in 1881, it was designed to embody authority, order and the idea of justice itself.

But here’s the thing: it’s not just this building.
Vienna is full of stories hiding in plain sight.

You just have to know where to look.

At this year’s Venice Biennale, the story isn’t just about what’s on display—but what’s missing. Withdrawn countries, postponed ceremonies, and a fractured jury have turned the world’s oldest art exhibition into a stage for geopolitical tension.

This year’s Met Gala felt like a moving exhibition. 🖼️

Under the theme “Costume Art,” the red carpet stopped feeling like fashion and became a curated space. We saw Jackson Pollock’s chaos translated into texture, Leonora Carrington’s surreal worlds pushed into form, and echoes of Vincent van Gogh carried through color and mood.

And then there was the look that quite literally became a living statue.

Which interpretation actually captured the theme best❓

You’re not ready for this. 👀

At the Austrian Pavilion, Florentina Holzinger presents Seaworld Venice — a raw, immersive work that hits somewhere between performance, endurance, and political reality.

A dystopian future shaped by rising waters: a body suspended inside a church bell, sounding the alarm.
Inside, it gets even more intense — an underwater amusement park calling out turbo-tourism + environmental collapse, and performers climbing a giant weathervane as a symbol of collective resistance.

This year’s Biennale, In Minor Keys (9 May – 22 Nov 2026), unfolds across Venice with national pavilions + a central exhibition.

Expect bold voices. Expect discomfort. Expect work that stays with you.

This sculpture isn’t abstract. It only makes sense when you move. A larger form arches over a smaller one — shifting as you walk around it. Henry Moore designed Hill Arches so no single view is complete.

Walk around it next to Karlskirche 👀

Have you ever noticed it like this before?

The video is a short crosshatching compilation showing some of his favourite works from the last few years.

The audio is an excerpt from his appearance last year on BBC Radio Solent.

These drawings are all in ink, mostly pigment liner, sometimes fountain pen.
