*Nora Eros is a student of Design and Narrative Media at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. As a graphic designer, she seeks to mediate between disciplines, contents, their complex meanings, and the protagonists surrounding them. She sees herself as a storyteller in the creation of platforms for critical information mutual knowledge exchange.

Eine interaktive Slotmaschine, die den Zugang zu medizinischer Versorgung in Europa spielerisch offenlegt – und dabei scharf kritisiert.
Je nach Diagnose, Herkunftsland und sozialem Status entscheidet sich, ob man „gewinnt“ oder
„verliert“. Was wie ein Spiel wirkt, entlarvt eine bittere Realität: Gesundheit ist selbst
innerhalb der Europäischen Union keine Selbstverständlichkeit, sondern oft ein Glücksspiel.

An interactive slot machine exposes healthcare inequalities in the European Union. Depending on your diagnosis, country of origin, and
social status, you might “win” or “lose” access to treatment. What looks like a game reveals a
harsh truth: even within the EU, healthcare is not guaranteed – it’s often a gamble.

Our common idea of truth feels slippery, contested, and fragmented. The lines between fact, fiction, and manipulation blur daily. Truth is no longer a solid foundation; it is a battlefield. What do students of Design and Narrative Media believe to be untruthful, a lie, or even a carefully constructed plot? this questions are acts of resistance and understanding in a world that demands clarity and accountability.

We also proudly present our diplomas in the framework of AAA at Angewandte Festival featuring Zoe Leonie Guggenbichler, Winona Hudec, Philipp Köll, Philip Kosak, Jonas Nath, Maximilian Prag, Julia Winkler and Mandy Zaninovic.

Graphic designer, experimental maker, and workshop facilitator Jian Haake (she/ her) joined our class as Senior Lecturer in March 2025.

Jian studied in the Communication Design Master’s program at Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel, where she graduated in 2017 and continued teaching until 2022. With a background in typography and book design, her critical and collaborative practice draws from this perspective—while increasingly leaning into a more fluid and pluralistic approach to cultural production. After organizing multiple summer school programs in Kiel, Jian completed a second Master’s degree in Experimental Publishing at Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam in 2023.
Operating within a network across Vienna, Hamburg and Rotterdam, Jian artistically cultivates complex infrastructures as well as happy accidents—often situated at the intersection of graphic design, education and technology.
