The year is 1893. Willie Groves, a forward born in Scotland, is about to make history, even though he is unaware of it. For 100 pounds, equivalent to around 12.000 pounds today, Groves changed his West Bromwich Albion jersey for the one and set the first record transfer ever. That year, Villa won his first title ever.
