SILVER at Design Austria Joseph Binder Award 2022:
The website for KARAK won silver in the category screendesign at the international competition for Graphic Design & Illustration the Joseph Binder Award 2022.

Ceramics manufacturer KARAK produces handmade tiles in raku, an ancient Japanese technique. The ambition was to create a new website after KARAK’s eleven years of operation, one that would not only represent the ceramics manufacturer but, above all, shows its work and enables interested parties to dive into and discover its ceramic world.

Our approach was to present the beauty of the product and the claim for design and craftsmanship in a simple, clear structure while still providing detailed insight. In doing so, we chose sophisticated technologies and creative approaches.

We are excited about the digital craft and love collaborating with people who share the same ambitions.

Happy to share the website relaunch of , a creative tile manufactory from western Austria, specialized in hand-crafted products.

Our approach was to present the beauty of the product, the claim for design and craftsmanship in a simple and clear structure, while still providing a detailed insight. In doing so, we choose sophisticated technologies and creative approaches.

The unique diversity of the tiles can be tried out in the workbench, the collection page offers an overview of the individual components and on the handcraft page the manufacturing process is brought closer. Moreover, tile combinations can be favoured in the workbench or gallery to simplify the inquiry process.
