If you're going to invest in headshots and brand photos then PLEASE read this first so you get the greatest value from them!
So often, I've been given headshots or brand photos to use and create graphics from -
They're high quality
Been touched up
Look great
The clients usually happy with them
BUT...
They've been edited with -
The tops of their heads missing
One arm or a shoulder cropped out
On a background that is difficult to edit out
Which MASSIVELY limits the ability to use from a design perspective that actually looks quality... one of the reasons they invested in professional photos in the first place *gulp*
So if you're going to invest in having photos taken for your business then please...
Ask your photographer to provide images with -
All of your head
All of your shoulders
Against a clear background (like below)
As it's so much easier and way more flexible, to
Crop photos to suit your design than it is to
Create quality designs around cropped photos
