We are proud to sponsor the GTNT Group Awards Night each year, celebrating the incredible achievements of apprentices, trainees, supervisors, and Host Businesses across the Northern Territory. 🌟

This year, we had an amazing time visiting Darwin, where we not only savoured some of the city's fantastic dining spots but also had the privilege of delivering cyber security awareness training to the GTNT team – complete with some sweet treats! 🍰 🔐

Our CEO, Dean, delivered a memorable speech at the awards night, sharing the inspiring words of B.B. King: "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you."

Phishing emails are nothing new, but the tactics cyber criminals are using are becoming harder to spot, especially for busy employees who are just trying to get through their inbox.

We’re seeing a rise in incidents where staff unknowingly compromise their company’s systems and data by clicking on something that looked legitimate.

Phishing emails are nothing new, but cyber criminals are using tactics that are harder to spot, especially for busy employees who are just trying to get through their inbox.

The problem? Cloud infrastructure that hasn’t been properly designed or audited becomes a silent liability.

Before you expand, renew, or invest, ask yourself: can your cloud infrastructure adapt as quickly as your business needs it to?

Free Wi-Fi isn’t always friendly. From fake hotspots to sneaky malware, public networks can quietly expose your business to serious cyber threats.

You may well have heard in the news about the recent cyberattacks on Australian superannuation funds, with hundreds of thousands of dollars being wiped from individuals’ accounts.

While many other websites or apps relating to finances require multi-factor authentication (MFA or 2FA) – such as your banking apps, bookkeeping apps, and more – many super funds did not have this security feature available. This left user accounts vulnerable to credential stuffing activity, and it would appear that this has resulted in a cyberattack.

If you’d like to know more about 2FA, you can view our helpful guide here: https://calvert.net.au/secure-your-business-with-mfa-the-key-to-protecting-your-companys-data-and-assets/
