With a change of job and family commitments we have been a bit quiet online. Rest assured we are still busy tinkering away and here to support all our gadgets. A custom build for Loxton Rifle Club. 5 inputs with different flash sequences for each target and adjustable brightness to suit the range / conditions. Shout out to Ignition Custom Engineering and SignShark for their support!

For those who like more options and don’t mind a bit of DIY we have put together a new Impact indicator controller. The output can be selected to flash or to stay on for a period of time. It can also be set to be normally on (Night shoot anyone?) or normally off. You could use it with electromagnets, solenoids or relays for triggering moving targets or other props.

Some of you would have seen the timers we made for PRC. After considering the feedback, having a bit more time to think about the design and using some new suppliers, we have now completed the latest version. Weatherproof transmitter, easier battery replacement and better displays are just a few of the upgrades.

Swapping sensors between targets can be a bit of a pain so we tried a few different mounting options. This is what we have found along the way:

• Velcro seemed like a good place to start, works well for centrefire but absorbs too much of the impact for rimfire ending up with missed detections.
• 3M Dual Lock (a bit like Velcro but more rigid) works great with rimfire but hit it with a centrefire and it lets go.
• Double-sided tapes work if the target is painted and clean. This does not make changing between targets any quicker or easier.
• Cloth tape worked well for both centrefire and rimfire provided the target is clean.
• G clamps also work ok but can come loose after a session with the centrefire.

So back to the trusty bolt, it may take a couple of minutes to move the sensor but it always works.

This custom I2 has been designed to show and track impacts. A green light will indicate when the set number of impacts has been reached. The user can set the max number of impacts from 1 to 10
