When we get it right, the only thing anyone talks about is the gymnastics.

Behind the scenes at the Gymnastics SA competition at The 36ers Arena on the weekend.

Lighting across the Rhythmic floor, set so there are no black spots anywhere on the performance space. A routine can finish anywhere on that floor, so the light has to be even everywhere, not just in the middle.

Audio into all four corners of the Artistic floor, so every gymnast could hear their own music no matter which apparatus they were on.

Stadium wide audio, so the announcer reached the back row rather than just the seats near the desk.

And our HDMI over CAT-6 kit, which let the vision at the ops point run straight onto the arena CUBE screen.

None of it gets noticed when it works. That is exactly the job.

Flat battery. Dropped signal. A click that just does not register. It happens mid sentence, in front of the room, every single time.

Our 80cm mirror ball does not do subtle.

It does not do tasteful. It does not do "maybe something a bit more understated".

It does this.

Disco night at Woodville Town Hall a few weekends ago. We brought the 80cm ball, the DJ decks and the pix bars, and the room stopped looking like a hall about four seconds after the house lights went off.

It is one of the cheapest ways to change how a room feels. Formals, balls, gala nights, anything with a dance floor.

We placed speakers around the stadium and ran them on separate zones, which let us set each areaโ€™s volume independently. The performers carried across the whole venue without overpowering the activities happening nearby.

Last Friday we had the pleasure to provide production support for Hooked On Swing, by mario_maiolo_promotions.

Different consoles. Same standard.

This big band show has previously toured on Allen & Heath dLive and DiGiCo desks. When the venue had a Yamaha CL5 in the rig, we didn't leave our engineer to figure it out on show day.

We built a base showfile in advance.

In this behind the scenes video, we walk through how creating a starting point showfile on an unfamiliar console gives our team the preparation time they need to arrive confident, organised, and ready to deliver.

This is one of the systems behind every show we do. Preparation is how we protect the performance.

Wow, to think this reveal was 10 years ago!

We converted Hardi Australia's warehouse into a classy venue to the night, unveiling their flagship Rubicon 9000 self propelled sprayer.

The unveiling consisted of a whopping 30m Kabuki drop all timed to perfection with the launch video.
