Identity for a desert crossing trip for Offline Campers. The client was taking a bunch of mates across the Simpson Desert for a bit of fun, and also to shoot the three camper trailers: Raker, Domino and Ryder. The request was for a design that would not only unite the team under a common banner, but which would also be used as merchandise.

When website projects yield custom typefaces! While developing the website for Offline Campers, we felt the need for a typeface that would not only reflect the toughness of their camper trailers, but also work well to communicate the call to adventure. Thus was born Offline Slab, a custom slab serif typeface inspired by the contours of the Domino, Raker and Ryder camper trailers from Offline Campers.

It’s not often that a school commissions you to develop a suite of identities for their various house teams. But that’s exactly what Tyndale Christian School asked us to do! The challenge was to develop identity suites for each of the three campuses at Murray Bridge, Salisbury East, and Strathalbyn, with each suite based on the themes and narratives behind the house team name. For instance, showcased here are the identities of the Strathalbyn campus, where the house teams are named after rivers in the region. Additionally, the Principal is a committed ornithologist who wanted to feature birds that frequented each river. The design objective was to express each name in a manner that spoke of the scientist’s work. Plus the identities had to work as a suite, and look like logos for a sports team! A custom, hand-drawn typography style helped achieve design consistency.

It’s not often that a school commissions you to develop a suite of identities for their various house teams. But that’s exactly what Tyndale Christian School asked us to do! The design objective was to express each name in a manner that spoke of the individual’s life and work. Plus the identities had to work as a suite, and look like logos for a sports team! A custom, hand-drawn typography style helped achieve design consistency.

If you’ve been to Adelaide Airport, you would’ve seen these signs. Developed by Nicknack in collaboration with the team at Adelaide Airport. What you see here is the culmination of a robust process of stakeholder consultation, extensive onsite surveys to ascertain lines of sight and traffic movements, followed by a detailed process of design concepts and refinement based on a consistent wayfinding strategy across all precincts of the Airport Business District. Very proud to contribute in a small, yet impactful way, on the landscape of the gateway between the world and South Australia!
