World Press Photo have announced the winners of the 2026 World Press Photo Contest! The winning projects offer a look into the important stories from around the globe, from globally recognised events to those underrepresented and overlooked. Together they share a powerful visual record of life across the world at a time when we need truth the most.

From 57,376 photographs entered by 3,747 photographers, just 42 projects have been awarded. The overall winner of Photo of the Year will be unveiled on 23rd April.

Austin reached out to us through our estimate form while planning a trip to Tasmania.

His mission? Surprise his girlfriend with a proposal.

Last year, we had the privilege of supporting Red Faces 2025 in partnership with Grow SA, helping raise $36,000 for youth mental health programs in South Australia.

Seeing the impact firsthand reinforced something important for us:

Day 3 of our live sessions is complete and it’s one we’ll carry with us for a long time.

It was a day filled with everything: a few tears, a lot of smiles, and an overwhelming sense of togetherness shared by our entire crew.
The morning was busy, with a steady flow of families and frequent guests coming in for free photos. Laughter echoed around the booth, kids ran in excitement, and the festive spirit was alive.

But amidst all that joy, there was a quiet, powerful moment that reminded us why we do what we do.

An elderly lady approached our booth slowly, hesitating, unsure if she should step forward.

I gently invited her, saying, “Grandma, let’s take a photo.” She paused, then broke down in tears and said softly, “I can’t… I lost my husband last Friday.”

I shared this with Santa, and without a second thought, he stood up from his chair and offered her a warm, genuine hug. It wasn’t staged. It wasn’t planned. It was raw, human, and straight from the heart. Moments like that don’t come around often and they can’t be recreated.

Hanna, our 14-year-old assistant, stood right beside Santa witnessing it all, while I stayed behind the camera. In that moment, it felt less like a project and more like a family, a group of people simply being there for one another.

Throughout the day, we welcomed everyone, from premature newborn babies to tiny puppies less than a month old.

This incredible experience was made possible through the collaboration Gilles Plains Shopping Centre (organiser), and One Santa Agency (Santa Agency).

And with that, we officially wrap up for 2025.

Merry Christmas to everyone, and a very Happy New Year.

We’ll be back in 2026, with even more moments, more stories, and more magic.
