After 26 fantastic years running Computer Drive, it’s time for me to rest the keyboard.
Don’t panic — young Dave is staying on and will continue keeping the shop running, offering the same great computer servicing along with new computer and laptop sales.
New trading hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
The property is currently up for sale, and we’ve moved the computer services into the smaller shop beside our current location. The main shop will soon welcome a new business to continue servicing our wonderful community.
My wife and I have truly loved living here and will miss our neighbours and the community immensely. We have no immediate plans other than taking a break — and perhaps a few adventure flights in our seaplane.
Thank you all for 26 amazing years of support.

Abduction update:
Unfortunately our wavy person has not been returned, and no ransom note received.

A police report has been filed, and after a lengthy wait to speak to someone at Stafford Police Station, who could only advise registering an online report.

I also asked the police if it was advisable to release a photo of the perpetrator on social media. They advised against it, but said it was not illegal, so here is the offender and his licence plate number 458 ZNI.

G'day,

Abduction!! Our mascot at Computer Drive on Raymont Road was stolen Tuesday morning at 8:32am by an adult male hiding in a hoodie, which didn't hide his identity when he looks straight into our security camera through the front window of our shop. He should know better as he was filmed on three security cameras, driving a gold 2004 Toyota Camry Sportivo with the car's registration number nice and clear.

If anybody does have any information, or has seen our mascot trick or treating at a Halloween party or maybe at a Melbourne Cup function, please ring me. Be great if the offender could return our mascot before the police are involved.

April 21, 1988

The Tandy Corporation holds a press conference to announce plans to build clones of IBM’s PS/2 system computers. The conference comes soon after IBM’s announcement that it would license patents on key PC technologies. IBM made this decision as they realized they were losing control of the “IBM-compatible” PC market and could make more money licensing the technologies. Within five years, IBM clones will become more popular than the original IBM machines themselves. Eventually IBM would leave the PC manufacturing business altogether, selling their PC division to Lenovo in 2005.
