WINDOWS 10 SUPPORT IS NOT ENDING (yet)
I am currently getting lots of calls regarding Windows 10 end of life, which according to all MS screen pop ups is October 14. However, this is not the case. MS will continue to support Windows 10 for another 3 years and the first 12 months of which will be for free (assuming the client has a Microsoft account). All you need to do is enroll your computer in the Windows 10 ESU using the following steps.

Open Settings: Navigate to the Start Menu and select Settings.

Go to Windows Update: In the Settings app, click on Update & Security.

Find the ESU Option: On the Windows Update page, look for a section under the heading "Windows 10 support ends in October 2025".

Start Enrollment: Click the "Enroll now" button to launch the ESU enrollment wizard.

Complete the Wizard: Follow the on-screen prompts in the enrollment wizard to complete the process. The wizard will confirm your eligibility for the free extended security updates.

I have already done quite a few PC's and laptops now as the ESU update has finally arrived. If you have any questions about this or any other services I can help with, please reach out 😊

On Sunday RfR volunteers had the absolute privilege of meeting the WIN News Illawarra team to tell them all about the ‘Computers 4 Community’ project, our latest initiative partnering with Tims Computing and The Tec Exec.

The project is all about connecting community, and lending mother earth a hand on the way as we turn our efforts to refurbishing computers that were destined for e-waste. This project not only provides free upgraded computers to the incredible organisations that take care of our community, and those most in need, but also offers opportunity to access free training along the way. We have lined up all our ducks but just need to raise a small amount of money to be able to purchase materials needed. The WIN News team learned about our core objectives of keeping items circulating at their highest value for as long as possible and our efforts to raise this funding through a go fund me campaign

It was a fantastic experience for our volunteers to take a brief glimpse into the world of mainstream media and be able to share our achievements and future endeavours with them.
