A Quick Heads Up For Our Community.

On Monday 27 July, a nationwide test of the new AusAlert emergency warning system will be sent to compatible mobile devices across Australia. The alert is designed to override silent and "Do Not Disturb" settings and will sound even if these settings are turned on.

For most people, there's nothing you need to do.

However, if you or someone you know has a hidden phone or emergency device for safety reasons, the best way to prevent the alert from sounding is to switch the device off or place it in aeroplane mode for 24 hours.
