Rebrands can be a great decision, or a less than ideal one. Here’s two examples of rebrands, one that did well, and one that flopped.

A rebrand win from Google Workspace saw positive results; people loved the sleeker, more cohesive logos for each of Google’s tools. Even individually, you can tell each one is related to Google. 💻

Mastercard, however, experienced a rebrand fail in 2015. Despite their instantly recognisable logo, the brand decided to change it, adding a gradient and a third (off-center!) circle. The move left most customers confused, and Mastercard walked back the change shortly after. 💳
