Thursday 20th August 2026 was a momentous moment for our Unbroken Whispers NESP Reseach project 4.3 team (Dr Jodi Edwards, Dr Chels Marshall and Natalia Baechtold). The team presented 2 of the 3 project films produced to convey the long standing cultural connection to Sea Kin at the Australian Parliament House for the project launch.
The research and the production of the 3 films aims to elevate the Voices of our First Nations Peoples in the ongoing age old practice of protection and governance of Sea Country, Sea Kin and Culture in the modern context alongside Western science.
The research led by an all First Nations Women’s team highlights, honours and contributes to the cultural practice and longevity of the longest continuously living culture on earth.
