Keeping remote workforces connected where traditional networks can't reach.
We're proud to share a case study highlighting how MarchNet delivered a resilient, high-capacity internet and managed Wi-Fi solution for a major pumped hydro energy storage project in regional Queensland.

Faced with rugged terrain and no existing telecommunications infrastructure, the initial deployment required rapid, reliable connectivity for an accommodation village with more than 300 residents. MarchNet designed and deployed a diverse LEO satellite solution, combining multiple satellite constellations with advanced SD-WAN technology to deliver high availability, performance and scalability.

The result? Reliable connectivity that supports worker wellbeing, productivity and safety, facilitating the construction of critical renewable energy infrastructure projects in some of Australia's most challenging environments.

MarchNet is proud to be attending the 37th Annual Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference (QMIHSC 2026) on the Gold Coast this week.

This year's theme, "Our Greatest Resource, Our People," highlights the importance of prioritising the health, safety and wellbeing of the people who keep the industry moving.

On Wednesday 19 August, MarchNet’s very own Milan Coric will be presenting on topic of “From two-way voice to situational awareness: The safety case for mission-critical, standards-based mobile broadband in remote mining operations.”

Connectivity doesn't happen by accident.

Behind every network is carefully planned infrastructure, strategic site selection, and strong partnerships with local landowners. This newly deployed site is part of MarchNet's ongoing commitment to building the infrastructure needed to deliver reliable communications across regional and remote Australia.

We're proud to work alongside local communities and landowners who play a vital role in helping us expand network coverage and create lasting connectivity solutions.

The MarchNet and Freedom Internet teams took time out recently to celebrate Christmas in July at Top Golf on the Gold Coast. It was a great afternoon of fun, laughter and some friendly competition.

Is it a coincidence that certain members of the Sales team finished on the podium in every round?

A big thank you to Paul Johnson and the Nokia team for the invitation to the ARCIA QLD State Networking Dinner in Brisbane.

Representing MarchNet, our National Sales Manager had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, suppliers, technology partners, former colleagues, and new contacts from across the telecommunications sector.

Events such as these play an important role in strengthening industry relationships, sharing insights, and fostering the collaboration needed to deliver innovative and reliable connectivity solutions across Australia.

It was also great to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new industry contacts, including Prow Kirk and Samantha Blair.

New Heights, New Challenges, New Experiences
They say this job can take you places and sometimes, it takes you 70 metres into the air!

Our newest Field Services team member, James Bellwood, recently completed a supervised climb at a remote Central Queensland telecommunications site as part of an Optus network upgrade.

For a fresh trainee, it's not every day you're standing 70 metres above the ground with views stretching across the Queensland landscape.

At MarchNet, we're committed to building skills safely and providing hands-on experience in real-world environments. From remote sites to regional communities, our team works where reliable connectivity matters most.

A great first step in what promises to be an exciting career in telecommunications.

Great to be in Toowoomba last night for the TSBE July Enterprise Evening and the launch of the Toowoomba Development Status Report.

The scale of infrastructure, renewable energy, resources and construction projects across the Darling Downs highlights the exciting growth opportunities emerging throughout the region.

Thanks to TSBE for another excellent event and the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, government and the local business community.

If we connected at the event, let's stay in touch. I'm always keen to connect with people supporting growth across regional and remote Australia.

MarchNet recently completed the deployment of another ProConnect mobile data network. This time a 4G and 5G system for a client at a major coal mine in central Queensland.

Speedtest on a mobile phone showed 258Mbps download speed, while line-of-sight coverage was confirmed a staggering 11km away.

A major project executed seamlessly by the MarchNet Engineering, Field Services and Project Delivery teams.

Geoff Marsh, Shane Bennett, Andrew Walpole and Milan Coric from the MarchNet team will be attending QME in Mackay next week. Reach out for a discussion to find out more.
