Identity rollout for Sidewall Social, Marrickville's newest Padel Social Club!

The logo was inspired by the movement of the ball across the court and off the walls - a unique aspect of the sport. Coupled with some cosy (social if you will) typefaces and an inclusive colour palette that drew inspiration from the Inner West's vibrant contrasted againt the gritty industrial venue fitout. Play ball!

It was with surprise and pleasure that I was recently asked to be a judge for this years Australian International Beer Awards in the packaging & design category. 

I had a blast with fellow judge Josh going through the entrants, and it was great to see a strong showing from independent breweries from all around Australia and beyond.

Why am I "attacking" local breweries for using AI?

Erm, it's for your own good.

People don't want slop they want connection, and your label is one way to achieve that.

For every 1 person who critiques you (me) there's 1000 who are just going to disconnect from your brand entirely.

And for any customer "who doesn't care if its AI or not" are they really going to be the passionate zealot that your brand needs to survive in this fiercely competitive industry?

I'm not trying to ragebait or get views, heck I don't even need more work, I'm just trying to help you, and in doing so, improve the industry that we are all a part of.

Do you really want the first impression your brand gives to be lazy slop? You think thats going to get more people drinking craft beer?

Go Make something worthwhile.
