Webshield Webshield Internet Services ~ Australia's First Content Filtered ISP ~ Broadband ~ VOIP ~ DIALUP ~ F

Webshield was founded in 2004 by a brother and sister team whose time spent in youth work had demonstrated firsthand the impact that the Internet was having on all ages. This was exacerbated by the fact that few parents understood Internet technology enough to take decisive action. Webshield was founded to provide a stop gap solution to the problem - cutting edge technology managed at server level

along with expert advice for parents. Webshield has since grown to a nationwide provider of content filtering solutions servicing the residential, school and business sectors as well as providing wholesale filtering services to other Internet Service Providers.

Tip #7 BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT (AND WHERE) YOU CLICK ONLINE. Look for security-enabled website addresses that start with "https:" (the extra s indicatres security)—these sites take extra measures to help secure your information. Keep in mind that links you receive in emails or in messages on social networking sites can be harmful or fraudulent, even if they appear to come from friends. Requests for personal information or a call for immediate action are almost always a scam.

Tip #6 BE MINDFUL OF HOW MUCH PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU SHARE ON SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES. The more you post about yourself, the easier it might be for someone to use the information you post to access your accounts, steal your identity and more. Maximizing your privacy settings on social networking sites can also help protect your personal information.
