Three types of project I say no to in the first call, even when the money is good.
Someone shopping purely on price. Someone who wants a $500 site that ranks on Google. Anyone whose business I cannot explain to my mum in one sentence.
Saying no is the cheapest form of risk management. The wrong client costs four times what a good client earns - in time, in revisions, in stress, and in the site that goes out under your name.
If you're picking the cheapest quote, I'm not the right call. The cheapest quote is almost never the cheapest outcome.
