It was great to participate in D-Link's next round of wireless technical training in Brisbane last week. NetVault sent two members from our technical team to take part in D-Link’s training day and it was great to see Will and Bernie from D-Link supporting their channel partners and resellers. Starlink is having a world wide outage at the moment. All Starlink services have been offline for 35minutes so far, but looks to have recovered in the last few minutes. This is affecting Starlink services in Australia and New Zealand as well. This is a timely reminder for those deploying Starlink services for business to have a backup or failover connection in case of extended Starlink outages like this. The best type to have is a Seamless Failover, that can fail over in under 1 second.

Take a look at the screenshots form our internal monitoring system, Netmon, taken from one of our Seamless Failover for Starlink services. The screenshots show the start and end of the Starlink outage, and how our Seamless Failover service kept this service online during the Starlink outage, so that the end user saw zero service interruption as they were failed over to the backup link, in under 1 second, all while maintaining the same public static IP address for the service, so that remote access and VPNs all flowed through seamlessly.

More NetVault RDKs for Starlink are heading up to Cairns to assist with flood recovery and disaster co-ordination. A testament to the durability and reliability of the solution we have developed which allows the Queensland government to rapidly deploy high speed internet access where it is needed most. The Department of Energy and Public Works in QLD is hard at work providing vital assistance for Cyclone Jasper recovery.

Cyclone Jasper is no match for NetVault! We have assisted the Queensland Government in it’s emergency response by urgently providing our Seamless Failover Solution for Starlink installed on one of their rapid response vehicles. NetVault’s vehicle solution urgently installed onto a QBUILD Toyota Landcruiser is on its way to Cairns for Cyclone Jasper emergency response. 200Mbps mobile internet is heading to the most heavily impacted areas of Cairns and Port Douglas to assist with the Queensland Government to provide emergency assistance to impacted areas.

What a fantastic turnout at the Melbourne SMB IT Pro meeting this week. We were finally able to get down to present again to our friends in Melbourne after so many years of border restrictions, lockdowns, and everything else in between.

We were happy to be able to showcase some of the exciting projects we have been working on during Covid times with our awesome VIC channel partners.
