This week, Lime Intelligence had the privilege of being on the ground in the Cook Islands — meeting with stakeholders across government, tourism, and the local business community.
As part of the Cook Islands Airport Masterplan project, we’re working alongside Arup (led by the Asian Development Bank) to develop a 30-year traffic forecast for the Cook Islands Airport Authority.
What stood out most was the deep connection between the airport and the country’s future. The airport is far more than infrastructure — it’s a critical enabler of tourism, economic growth, and community wellbeing.
Through conversations with local stakeholders, we gained valuable insight into:
* The shared vision for sustainable tourism growth
* The unique opportunities and constraints of an island economy
* The importance of aligning long-term planning with community and business needs
We’re excited — and incredibly privileged — to play a role in shaping the future of aviation in the Cook Islands.
And after experiencing it firsthand, it’s easy to see why so many Australians and New Zealanders choose this incredible destination.
