In addition to their brand element files, there are two ways I hand off a finished project to my clients: a full brand guide or a one-page reference sheet.
The full brand guide goes into all the details: how to use the logos, colour codes, typography, imagery direction, mockups and everything someone might need to apply the brand properly. It’s especially useful when you’re working with other designers, a team, printers or agencies.
The reference sheet keeps things simple. It’s one page with the brand essentials: your logos, colours and fonts. The stuff you’ll want to quickly pull up when you’re creating something in Canva or need to check a colour code for a last minute marketing graphic.
For Interlace Studio, I created both. A full set of brand guidelines for the studio to refer back to, plus a one-page reference sheet for those everyday decisions.
For my smaller brand packages, the reference sheet works really well on its own. You still have everything you need to keep your brand consistent, without having to dig through a full brand guide every time.
