We work with teams and individuals on projects we believe in and ideas we wish we’d thought of. A collective of strategists, writers, creators and makers, we form partnerships with people, commerce and cause, using strategy-led design to overcome obstacles and unlock opportunities. We help them find their feet, grow their ideas and make their way in the world, wherever that may take them.

Today’s a big day for us, as we mark seven years in business for the studio. Throughout this time, whilst servicing our clients, we've always made space for self-improvement.

In keeping with this approach, over the past two years, we've taken the long route to a new brand for JAC AND. Rather than looking purely to the outcome, the process was just as much about the journey.

Although branding is what we do, we knew this needed external minds. Through collaborating with respected peers and sharing our inner workings, we've been asked important questions and had our boundaries pushed in all the right places.

We're excited to finally share some of the work we've been doing, with much more to come in the next few months.

We are beyond excited to finally share the whereabouts of our new home. As of next week, we'll be firmly planted in Brunswick.

Our new studio is located on the ground floor of Nightingale Anstey, a beautiful building designed by Breathe Architecture.

Nightingale Housing are doing inspiring work in The Village and we're looking forward to joining the great community they've built.�
To celebrate this milestone for the studio, we commissioned the very talented Pier Carthew to document the space in its raw form.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home as it develops in the coming months. In the meantime, follow along as we undertake the fit-out and find our feet in Brunswick.

We’ve been helping Burgtec rebrand and reposition over the last year or so.

They’re an established business, so it’s an ongoing process. Plenty of touch points and processes to review collaboratively. We can’t wait to share the body of work when the time is right.

Earlier in the year they took their new brand for a test drive at Denfair. We designed a simple stand for them and were all beyond thrilled when it was awarded Editor’s Choice ‘Best in Show (for Workplace)’.

Today was our final day at . Going to miss so much about this special place. Particularly the incredible light.

43D was our first venture. It helped us grow the studio and build (a really great) community. We’re so proud of everything we achieved here, and are thrilled to see it live on with .arch.

It’s also our last day in Collingwood. We’ve been here for 8 years. That’s a lot of ! We’ll miss those guys the most — thanks for the sandwiches and banter.

We have some big news to share.

At the end of this month is changing hands. After 6 wonderful years, we are stepping away from the space to focus on JAC&.

The venture has offered us so much, personally and professionally. It helped us build JAC& to the point it’s at today and gave us the opportunity to build a community. We are incredibly grateful to the people who shared time and space with us here. If that’s you – you’ll know who you are – thank you. It’s meant so much.

On July 1, Chris Barnes and the team at .arch will take ownership of the business. We look forward to seeing them put their stamp on things, and are thrilled to see 43D live on with a group of truly excellent people.

We’re dotting i’s and crossing t’s on JAC&’s next home and can’t wait to share it with you. Stay tuned! 👀

Over the past year we’ve been working closely with to reposition and refine their brand.

Burgtec create tailored workplace settings for progressive Australian organisations. They’re a long-standing family run business with a genuine commitment to good design, quality materials and local manufacturing.

The full case study will be revealed on our new website later this year. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek.

We love Coco Flip's commitment to brand consistency.

As part of their rebranding process, they had their samples cut to match the brand symbol (affectionately called flipper).

It’s these small details that create a memorable brand experience. Every touchpoint is important.
